Goes for today's post and for compulsively stalking websites!

I'm packed for Wales - it was a mere matter of minutes to pull the make up, jewellery and smart clothes out of the rucksack and stick the swimming costume, gym gear and trainers in. I've got my work laptop, personal laptop and cameras, plus cat food so there's just a couple of CD's for the trip and all is done - except loading the bags, myself and the cats in the car at stupid o'clock tomorrow morning.

I'd planned an early night and early start but got distracted - firstly by battling with the Virgin trains site to organise travel for three pals from the US, ravurian and myself to go back to Wales in mid October. Stupid thing would not give me a discount on the cheaper fares, kept trying to bump them up to the normal standard rate. In the end I had to faff around in a number of creative ways to get cheap tickets but it's all done now!

Then Tumblr and Twitter continued to provide more distraction with pics from Wolfsbane.

And I realised I'm supposed to be the responsible adult booking hotels for our next con outing to Starfury's Vampire Ball in November - Chris Kane and Kris Holden-Reid are headlining. That could get confusing! Paul Amos, Dennis O'Hare and Michael McMillan also in attendance. So a triple room in the Sheraton is now secured. Though I will check tomorrow if it's possible to get a triple in the Thistle.

THEN Rogue announced Wolfsbane 2 tickets on sale around 10pm. You can tell when people have had a good con experience when there is a mad scramble for tickets and the first guests has yet to be announced! Since the two people who potentially want to come with me are both not reachable at the moment that induced some flailing around. In the end I went ahead and booked two and will book and pay for third tomorrow once am back in contact with the relevant parties. Also have booked a room in the Hilton for next July - because why the hell not be organised and do it all now.

I have my fingers securely crossed that the whole bounce up the promotional scale at work does happen as the last couple of days plus the last few hours have seen my finances take a severe hit! OTOH most of the social stuff for the next three months and part of 2014 is now paid for or scheduled in for future sensible financial planning!

Right. Bed, three hours sleep and then off to wonderful Wales. See you all on the flip side of the drive up there.
