..because that means it's almost the weekend \o/.

1. I have no plans this weekend except gardening, basking in the sun and chilling the fuck out.

2. Work is a veritable tsunami of Shit Which Must Be Done Now - none of it beyond my capabilities but it's exhausting when everything is an absolute priority and there is no time to think or plan. It feels like s constant race to firefight on all fronts. In addition to being the sole PR/Comms person for a £500m (yes half a freaking BILLION pounds) project we've just scored £11m of grant funding to deliver ECO improvements too. Which means more branding, comms and events. The upside of 12 hour days is I'll be ticking in an overtime claim which should make August a lucrative month! Also frenetically busy is better than bored and clock-watching, yes?

3. It's finally summer here. Hot, humid and sunny and I'm rather enjoying the warmth, sunshine and blue skies.

4. Left work at 8pm tonight and rewarded myself by stopping off on the way home to watch The Internship with a tub of ice cream and a glass of Pimms. (The cinema suddenly got civilised, selling alcoholic drinks)! Lovely little film, I lol'd all the way through, Dylan O'Brien is totes adorable and it was just what I needed to chill out.

5. Now I'm going to watch Franklin and Bash and have another glass of wine. Tomorrow I have a 2 hour meeting with the Project Team and an agenda item for Comms wherein I have many MANY suggestions to make. Followed by a Comms summit with the lead Member for Housing. I will be eating ice cream afterwards and leaving at 4pm to get the weekend off to a good start.
