Not dead yet.

Just one of the walking dead for a few days due to resurgence of Cough From Hell (plus associated fever) and then just as I was feeling a bit better on Thursday my phone line died and has only just been restored.

I spent most of the five days I was incapacitated mainlining Spooks (aka MI:5 for the cousins overseas): 10 seasons (86 eps) and I am done. Not sure mainlining such a show when you're spacy on cough meds and lack of sleep was the best idea in the world as I emerged feeling completely battered!

The last 10 minutes of the S6 finale of Spooks still breaks me into tiny tiny pieces every time - not only is it stunningly well written but Rupert Penry-Jones and Miranda Raison knocked the scene so far out of the park it was stratospheric.

I kind of want to go back and watch it all again. *G*

I appear to have been absent for the demise of Megaupload (sob), Wikipedia going dark, Google hosting mourning banners, the revenge of the hackers, and the death of SOPA/PIPA. Seriously I'm not on line for a week and the internet goes BOOM? WTH?

I'm still peeved about MU being pulled. Regardless of what else went on lots of people used the site for legitimate uses - e.g. my ex place of work had a paid account which I used to bounce a lot of very big files back and forward to our publications designers and also where we used to host a number of files shared between managers and things like our business continuity/disaster relief plan (though it was mirrored in many other places). We used MU because even out Luddite SMT and DoG could master how to use it with the briefest of instructions. What peeves me is the blatent disregard for people who had a legitimate use for the site. So much for cloud storage, eh?
