There was also much talk of "being in the moment" (told you - zen!) and attitude readjustment (the only thing you can be 100% in control of is your reaction to a situation - so why choose to be miserable when there are alternatives).

If anyone needs a great speaker to get their conference off to a bang may I suggest (in the absence of such luminaries as Jonathan Woodward and Neil Roberts and a few bottles of whisky to provide a Communion *g*) to direct their attention to Kate Hull Rogers?

So yes dahlings. I am back and I am adjusting my attitude. Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose. Things will be hairy on the work front for a while but I shall endeavour not to bore myself rigid, and you silly, with whining any more. Assuming there are any of you left and I'm not just yelling into the void. *g*

From now on I am going to live in the moment and be happy because, damn it, life is far too short for anything else. Which was a lesson I learned in 2002, but somehow I lost my grasp on those two tenets of faith.
