Where'd last week go?!

Time seems to be skipping by far too quickly at the moment.

Last week was mostly cleaning, life organisation and a wee bit of gardening and allotmenting. Bearing in mind it felt busy-ish I'm not quite sure why my To Do List still feels so extensive!

I spent a lot of yesterday driving round the M25 - left home around 10:30 to get to The Queen Mother Hospital in Herts to drop of Tyr for his radio active iodine treatment. Poor boy used to be fine about going in the cat carrier and in the car to the vets but I think he's now had so many visits he gets a bit stressed and always throws up in the first 10 mins. Luckily he'd been food restricted since midnight so cleaning him and the carrier up was a quick job. Despite traffic I got there early so he got to come out of the carrier and have lots of cuddles before intake. He had yesterday afternoon and today to settle in and have some final pre-treatment tests. Assuming that all goes well he'll be given the injection tomorrow and then can come home a week on Friday. They're also running a research programme asking people if they'd wear radiation monitors to check levels - because they're constantly refining the treatments so cats don't have to spend so long in hospital. So we're signed up for that! I didn't get home til around 3pm and was so bushed I did nothing yesterday evening apart from nap and watch TV!

Today I was up early and accomplished a run to the tip with a fully loaded car, ran a couple of quick shopping errands and picked up a late breakfast/coffee from Starbucks all before 11am.

Plans for this afternoon include finishing tidying up the front garden and doing a wee bit of planting, potting up some houseplants which are long overdue for potting, quick surface clean of kitchen, bedroom and hallway (which surprisingly remain tidy after last weeks blitz clean) and hopefully finishing off the bedroom (I've been saying that for weeks but I feel quite motivated to get it done today)!

I've got trips to the tip/recycling place booked for Thursday and Friday mornings - so I can start loading the car with stuff to go ASAP today. *G*

There's also some allotment admin which I need to do tonight, so that tomorrow after taking Sabra to the vets (she's been licking that spot on her back bare of fur again) I can hand deliver some overdue invoices to tenants and then spend time down on the plot.

At some point I need to add sorting out the back garden into the To Do List - which involve getting quotes for getting my fence replaced, clearing out a load of old fencing and rubbish, buying wood to replace the beds and deck, replacing the deck and generally pruning and tidying up. Maybe that can be next week's task!
