Up to town tonight for a meal at Pierre Victoire (good little bisto in Soho) with ravurian - however he was a tad incapacitated due to an accident with some stairs at work the full story of which will no doubt appear on his lj in due course. Suffice to say ravurian hobbling round (extremely gracefully it must be said) on crutches is a sight to behold.

Am escaping to North Wales tomorrow evening for a couple of days. Am not holding out much hope of good weather. Currently raining "cats and dogs" here in London not to mention grey, miserable and grim. Late night drive up to the cottage tomorrow night with a friend. Chill out day on Friday (with the possibility of a long walk on a beach whilst buffeted by gale force winds which are currently sweeping the UK) and then drunken get together with the BRAXS crowd in Llandy (Llandudno to those not in the know) on Saturday afternoon/evening (which usually stretches into Sunday morning). *g* Return feeling recharged to London late Sunday night.

Also am now proud owner of new power tools. Intermittently I go in for these "free giveaway" comps in various mags. It appears I won one - and I now have a super new jigsaw, sander, cordless screwdriver and hammer drill plus attachments. Not everyone's cup of tea I know - but hey - come in useful for the DIY blitzes! Have done relatively well from comps in the last 12 months or so. Have won dinner service, cutlery set, outdoor log burner, £500 cheque and power tools. Go me!
