I will be taking a blogging break for several weeks. I hope spring shows up when I return!!!

Some of my favorite photos
This is a great question. Beth leads this week’s challenge and has shared this definition from the Merrriam-Webster Dictionary the definition of astonished is “feeling or showing great surprise or wonder”. When I was going through photos I found many – flowers, the ocean, hummingbirds etc. that would fit the theme. But as I thought about the topic and photography, I have to say that I am always astonished by the details in macro photography. Often these small details aren’t noticed until the picture is on the computer. Here are a few I have chosen for this week’s challenge.

Thanks Beth for a great challenge!!
This week’s challenge is looking back to one we did in 2021. Tina leads us through this week’s challenge with some beautiful examples on her site. The struggle for me this week was seeing shapes in just about every photo. I narrowed it down to these.
Dancers make shapes with their bodies either alone or in a group. They need to be precise as possible to accomplish this.

Our hands are necessary in designing shapes whether it’s art or a sandcastle.

Nature’s critters make their own amazing art into beautiful shapes.

Then there are the shapes of the insects that create the art.

As I am looking forward to spring, I’ll close with these last 2 photos. The intricacy of flowers is a wonder in shapes. Each species of flower has a specific look and is a joy to look at.

Thanks Tina for bringing back this theme!
