This week our topic is Floral hosted by Sofia. In sharing our floral photos, she has asked us to think about how we approach capturing or post processing them. In most cases, my post processing is simple using Lightroom to crop, adjust lighting, tweak colors and remove noise as needed. If noise is excessive, I will use Topaz Denoise which does an good job of keeping the detail. Occasionally, I will do a monochrome or texture edit.
My first floral is children’s art. We attended an outdoor festival and there were several activities for children including art projects. I had to take this photo quickly since there was a crowd of people around the table.

I stopped at a local coffee shop at the beach and this floral painted fence was in the back parking lot. Before a left, I snapped this photo. Look closely at the bottom of the fence and you’ll see burlap bags of coffee with plants growing out of them.

I love spring and summer and when I see the first flowers of spring, I am compelled to take a photo. These are wildflowers that were growing along a path in March. I walked past them initially, then turned around for a second look and decided to take a photo.

These flowers were on my daughter’s deck stairs. I loved the simplicity. Plus they were a birthday gift from her sons (my grandsons) which made them extra special.

Last is one I took this week. There’s an area near my house that is nothing but a field of weeds and trees but I love it especially in the spring and summer.

I could go on and on with these type of photos, but I will close here and say thanks Sofia for a great topic!
