For this week, we are posting photos taken in 2023 that have not been submitted previously this year for a Lens Artists challenge. The challenge is called Last Chance and if interested, you can read more about it on Tina’s site.
My first 2 photos are of a bluebird and hummingbird which we saw with great frequency this year. This was our first full spring and summer in our new home and these birds were quite a treat since we did not see them often in our previous home.

We live a lot closer to the Outer Banks where both our daughters and families live. This allows for time enjoying that area. The photo on the left shows the laid back style of yard decor at someone’s beach house and the one on the right is the beauty of the beach.

We had quite a few butterflies and flowers this spring and summer

The last 2 images are very special to me. The first one is from the local fundraiser for our Food Bank. My daughter sits on the Board and assisted with planning the event. Local restaurants (one below in the photo) were invited and had to make dishes that were prepared with the ingredients stocked at the Food Bank. Attendees sampled the dishes and voted for the favorites. The event was quite a success.

The last photo is of my daughter. She competed an online Masters in Nursing program from Southern New Hampshire University. She travelled to New Hampshire for the graduation ceremony but we were not able to go. However, it was live streamed and this is a photo from our TV screen of her receiving her diploma. We are so proud!!
