I’m getting this week’s challenge in at the last minute. It’s been a crazy week!! Our challenge is to illustrate a favorite poem or quote using no more than 4 pictures. Ann-Christine has the perfect example on her site to lead us on this. The first thing that came to mind on this challenge is a favorite childhood poem of mine that my mother used to read to me, and the tradition has continued with our daughters and grandchildren.
The Swing by Robert Louis Stevenson – From a Child’s Garden of Verses (1885)
How do you like to go up in a swing,
Up in the air so blue?
Oh, I do think it the pleasantest thing
Ever a child can do!

Up in the air and over the wall,
Till I can see so wide,
Rivers and trees and cattle and all
Over the countryside

Till I look down on the garden green,
Down on the roof so brown—
Up in the air I go flying again,
Up in the air and down!
