Project 365 – June 4-10, 2023

Summer has officially begun in our area! Here are photos from the first full week in June.

We have had several turtles lay eggs in our yard – here’s one of the moms. They dig a hole, lay the eggs, cover them and leave them for fend for themselves.

Lens Artists Challenge

Brian is leading this week’s challenge titled “Fragments”. I decided to share some photos from the beach that hopefully represent this topic.

When a wave hits the shore, it’s kind of like a fragment of what it originally was.

This must have been a beautiful conch shell once upon a time.

Great topic Brian – this one had me stumped for a bit!!

Project 365 – May 28 – June 3, 2023

I’m a little behind on editing and posting the 365 photos due to computer problems – ugh!!!! For some reason – Lightroom has been running at a snails pace so I deleted and re-installed it, however my gut is telling me that it’s probably close to computer replacement time since it’s 7 years old – which is 49 in dog years. Anyway – here’s week 22.

May 28 – Meet “Chewy” – our nephew’s dog.

Lens Artists Challenge

Donna of Wind Kisses is hosting this week’s challenge titled “What’s Bugging You”. I think that insects are one of my favorite subjects to photograph – mostly because it involves macro photography which I love. Here are a few that I have taken in recent years.

Dragonfly – I’ve been know to chase these around my yard 🙂

BERJAYA

Soldier beetle or lightening bug – they are very similar looking except one lights up at night

BERJAYA

Ladybug – I usually find these in fields full of weeds and wildflowers

BERJAYA

Black swallowtail butterfly – plant some parsley and they will lay their eggs on it

BERJAYA

Thanks Donna for a wonderful topic!!
