| Not much going on today. It was very cold, again, so cold I had to watch the MLK Day parade from the door this year. It goes right past our house. Last year Mom and I sat on the porch and watched it - - it was warm enough to last year. I felt sorry for the people in the parade, I know they were freezing. J and I cleaned and did laundry today - - you can actually see our bathroom counter now! ( A few random pix - - one *huge* oneCollapse ) | |

| I read on one of my Alan Rickman comms today that there is going to be a remake of Sense and Sensibility - - apparently a miniseries. I don't have a problem with that, even though Alan Rickman is the only Brandon I need, but some of the changes are sort of scary. Apparently the writer of the remake thinks there should be more sex and violence. WTF? It's Jane Austen. Also, from the article - - He feels that Austen should have given readers more help to understand how Marianne was able to transfer her affections so swiftly from Willoughby to the gruff Brandon. As a result, Davies's adaptation will see Brandon, this time played by David Morrissey, riding a lot of horses very fast. Again, WTF? I could easily see why she would choose Brandon. I was telling her that all through the movie. Okay, a lot of that had to do with the fact that it was *Alan Rickman*, but still. And um, riding a lot of horse very fast? Article here. | |

| First of all, yeah, I'm hooked on SGA. More specifically, Rodney. Yeah, go ahead and say I told you so. Also, I really like Caldwell(big surprise, huh?) and Dex. Beckett... oh, yeah. Love the accent. Um, please don't flame me, but Sheppard... not so much yet, and Teyla not at all. Weir, eh. Maybe they'll grow on me.
I would love to get into SG1, but so far, nothing. I'm sure in a couple of years it'll hit me. Sometimes it takes me a while.
Battlestar Galactica. J's fault. And it's all about Starbuck. Flesh and Bone is my favorite ep ever.
Bones. I really like Bones. I like Booth a lot. But all of Brennan's coworkers(and sometimes Brennan herself), except Goodman - - annoy me.
Alan Rickman turns 60 tomorrow. My mom turns 60 in April. Eek. But OMG, he's sexy! J just laughed at me about that, saying AR's old enough to be my dad, the whole sugar daddy, who's your daddy bunch of jokes. I told him he was just jealous, but not to worry, he's still my favorite *younger* man.
I'm almost sure I've asked this before, but has anyone seen The Constant Gardener? What about North Country? I like Charlize Theron. I *really* like Sean Bean. Is there enough plot and/or Sean in it for me to see it?
And OMG! Only like two weeks until the Goblet of Fire DVD is released.
Walk the Line will be released on February 28th.
And I'm curious about the Dukes of Hazzard movie. Will anyone admit to seeing it? I'm curious about how Willie Nelson and Burt Reynolds did, but I don't know if I can actually make myself watch it. - Tags:bsg, constant gardener, dukes of hazzard, gof, movies, north country, rickman, sg1, sga, tv, walk the line

| Rickmaniac - You are of a dreaded breed - the ones they call 'Rickmaniacs'. You eat, sleep, breathe, and live Rickman. This quiz was probably a complete breeze for you, and you probably could have done it five times blindfolded, while standing on one foot. Either that or you're damn good at guessing. How Much of an Alan Rickman Fan Are You? brought to you by QuizillaOh, rojimouse: Guess what I just watched? Dark Harbor! The movie... eh. I wasn't too interested when Alan wasn't onscreen. But it's worth it for Alan, and not just for the naked!Alan and the boy/boy kissing(but it doesn't hurt). And you know how I always rant about American actors who can't do English accents? You'll laugh. Alan's American accent slips in this one, but I didn't care at all because I *so* love his real accent. | |
