I love this silly meme. I've seen it all over my flist the past couple of days, and I can't remember the last time I did it -- definitely a long while ago!
Okay, y'all. According to this morning's poll, it's Donner beating Donder 38-7.
I am totally in the Donder camp. And now I have to go tell copilot that my flist are all on his side!! Fine, everyone. Be that way. Just don't come crying to me when you post your long, chaptered Prancer/Donner mega slash opus and ask why I didn't read it. :P
I really don't know why I'm so spammy of late. But I've been a busy little bee these last few days. And now, apparently I force you all to deal with it. (sorry)
My brother usually comes over for breakfast on Saturday mornings (otherwise we see each other very infrequently). It's been a few weeks since I've seen him, and because tomorrow is Easter (though I don't celebrate), I decided to do more than just bagels and coffee. I made a fruit salad, bought bagels, and bought some cinnamon rolls. His girlfriend usually comes, too, so I have a good amount of food.
He just called.
They were already running late, so he was stressed about that, but then when they got into the car, his gearstick wouldn't move out of third gear. So, he's in the repair shop. And they probably won't make it, because they have other commitments later on today.
Poor guy.
Um... but now I have all this food that I can't possibly eat by myself. Anyone care to come over for breakfast? I have a full pot of coffee made. I can make you eggs, too, if you'd like.
Okay, so you remember back over my Spring Break when I started working on the bathroom and got stalled? Well. Today, dammit, I was determined to finish things up, even in spite of the obstacles that kept getting in the way. *kicks obstacles*
There's still one more thing I want to hang in the bathroom, but I still have to find it, so that'll just have to come later. And, so, in case you're interested... ( zeee bathroom...Collapse )
Hawai'i is amazing. I wish we could have stayed three more weeks to visit more of Oahu as well as the other islands. More pics to come later, for right now, picspam inspired by the letter 'f'...
Also, there are many, many emails in my inbox that I need to respond to, but it may take me a day or two. Whoa, jet lag. We were up for about 23 hours on the way home and I've just got up from a three hour nap.
I know you lost this morning, and I didn't manage to wake up at 3:30 am to watch the start of the match, but I did catch the third set, and though Roger broke you a couple of times, you didn't give up and did fight back and from what I could tell, it seemed like you made him work for the first two sets. I love how optomistic and honest and real you are in interviews, because what the heck must it be like to be playing competitive, professional tennis when there's this amazing, unstoppable force named Roger Federer out there.
You really seem to take everything in stride, but just so you know, there's always room in my bed here in my house if you ever just need the chance to talk. Or get away. Or discuss 6 year olds at length.
The DVD of Order of the Phoenix has been on sale for over week now, hasn't it? And, exactly what has been heard from this corner of the world re: said DVD? That's right, nothing. Alfie, you must think I've forgotten all about you, that I've moved on to other fascinations within the HP world.
I assure you, this is not the case.
I am horribly embarrassed to admit that it took me a full week to actually purchase the DVD, and that this conversation actually occurred this weekend between copilot and I: cp: I'm surprised you haven't got the Harry Potter DVD yet. me: OH CRAP, I'D FORGOTTEN ALL ABOUT IT, OMG. I AM THE WORST FAN EVER! cp: kaalee, can you lower your voice a little, I think London is trying to sleep...
So, while, on the surface it may appear that I have abandoned you in the wake of "zomg, christmas rush," in fact, I've been busy and just got sick and had about 394875 things to do that rhyme with "Smeal Life" and couldn't actually act like the kaalee you know and love.
Honestly, who else even notices you in the random scenes?
Alfie, I promise, it'll never happen again. For the DVD release of HBP I will camp out in front of the movie store four days in advance wearing nothing by my I ♥ Dean sandwich board and playing the HP theme on a makeshift instrument of lightbulbs and chess pieces and composing sonnets about the wonder of Alfie in iambic pentameter.
I forgot to mention! On Saturday I had an email from The Quidditch Pitch letting me know one of my stories was being featured for the month of December. *glee*
This story is Harry/Draco (rated R, under 2000 words), has some questionable sanity, and is probably still one of the stories I'm most proud of because of it's ambiguity.
**~**
Also, Happy Birthday to Alfie Enoch! ♥
For Alfie's 19th, let us take a little retrospective...
to come later: the blackboards (or my version of them) for sitonamicrowave, art work for slashfairy & wook77, and another project table for nefernat, and no sorts of turtles, yarns or poptarts for florahart. Is it odd that her request surprised me not at all?
So, this post is mostly for kendas, but, really, everyone can benefit from the beauty that is Sam Anderson. Observe:
See?
Anyway, said actor-man had a small part in the BBC comedy, Gavin and Stacey. It was lovely. Lots of hotness and smiling and obnoxious male wanting shags stuff. I made many screencaps from a couple of his scenes and zipped them. Links to download are ( under the cut...Collapse )
It appears that many of you on my flist are having a bad or tiring day. You know what cheers me up on a bad day? (Well, apart from wine or margaritas or mojitos with lots of lime) Looking at pictures of pretty men! Yes! And what better man to look at than the lovely Mr James Blake?
So, I said to myself: "Self? Why not offer up a bit of picspam for those lovelies on your flist that could use a bit of pretty?"
Clearly misscake is my good luck charm. Only I forgot to rub her for luck. I'll have to do that next time. ;)
Feel free to keep JB in your thoughts tonight -- he won his match this afternoon and is also playing tonight due to a rain delay the other day. Go JB! *shakes bum*
It's about a minute long, the color is washed out, but you can hear him clearly and he's just lovely.
★ Also, Coralie from dr.com interviewed Alfie and got some pictures, but there's no video to go with. This is her transcript of speaking with Alfie: [go here and scroll down to the London Premiere Coverage]
Coralie: "You’ve grown so much! When you look at yourself in the first films, what do you say, think?"
AE: “Actually, I did… I saw a bit of the first one the other day and I thought I can’t believe I was that small and when I looked at that I thought my cheeks were so chubby! Everybody says I haven’t changed, but I have… I like to think I look a bit older.”
Coralie: "If you were sorted into a House in Hogwarts, which would it be?"
AE: “I don’t want to flatter myself, but I like to think Gryffindor”
Coralie: "Brave?"
AE: “Well… Maybe not so brave, but I’m getting a bit easy on myself, but yeah… I think I’m very rebellious, break a few rules at school, but nothing too serious. (Laughs) So I’d put myself in Gryffindor.”
Ahhh... so, Alfie? What sort of rules do you break at school, huh?
Also, changing the subject, does anyone happen to have a link to something from a while ago showing the difference between the OotP posters released where one had Emma's hair more highlighted and her bust more... enhanced than the other? I was telling my mother about it and wanted to give a visual.eta: all set! shocolate hooked me up, because she's glorious like that. ♥
Guess who's going to see James Blake play tennis tomorrow night??
...
Okay, if you guess wrong, then you're not quite playing the game right. You should see someone about that.
ME!!!
and, er, copilot's coming with. And he's way excited to see Agassi play -- which I am, too! But, with Mr. Blake there's the TENNIS! And the HOT! And the Dean-ness. And I like all of those things a lot.
a bunch more photos -- some from the photo meme I did, and some are things people have asked to see in the past. Also, some are just things I did today. ;)
mpuppet asked to see something lime green. These are my new favorite flip flops ever! And they're not what fashion calls lime green, but what I do... ( flip flops!!!Collapse )
mereol asked to see the inside of my closet. This is horribly embarrassing, actually. It's a mess and I haven't sorted through it for ages... ( closet...Collapse )
We saw THIS STREET in our search for homes. Too bad we didn't end up living near there... ( draco street!Collapse )
Now, I thought florahart lived on the West Coast. Apparently I was wrong and she lives in my local Michael's. ( FLORA??Collapse )
Someone once asked me about my collection of children's books. They are many. Some still live at my house until I need them for school. And, yes, I have many of them categorized. *is n3rd* ( children's books...Collapse )
I am supposed to be working on report cards today. I did for a while. Then I got distracted. It's much more fun to paint flower pots than bubble in scan-tron report card sheets. ( pots!!Collapse )
Thank you for all of the support over the past week. It has been an odd one. You people are lovely. Just lovely. *holds tight*
Yesterday I found something gorgeous on my flist --
harkskar drew a beautifully sad Seamus/Dean picture for me -- here -- scroll to the second picture down. Dean's profile is extraordinary. You should definitely go look. She puts such obvious feeling and care into ther work. I always love the simplicity of her work. *happy sigh*
[the picture below it is very NWS, so keep that in mind, before you click.]
Okay, so this has never, ever, happened to me before. Someone was doing a fic search. Yes, very familiar. Particularly when I'm trolling for hogwarts today links, I see a lot of fic searches. The thing was? They were looking for my fic!! *blink* It just made me about twelve shades of happy. I feel like I should remember this moment somehow. :)
I know I'm probably way behind the times here in terms of finding this site, but I was playing around at YouTube and found a video that I've watched probably six times in the past two days. guh. It's a close up of a long [90 seconds-ish] french kiss - with MASS quantities of tongue involved, and I just... seriously, it's just really amazing to watch. I used to collect kissing pictures in college and to me, there is nothing better than an amazing kiss. Don't click if you're not into the tongue-age, because there is much. Seriously. The guy on the right in the video so clearly has the lips of the Dean that I imagine - I can barely even think straight... link: here
I was just out at a party with work people and was reminded again of how lovely it is to be away from my old school. There are [generally] really wonderful people with whom I work and we just had so much fun!
And now copilot can put faces to so many of the stories I tell. :)
I'm about to fall into bed, but thought .... why, there has been very little Sean Patrick Flanery picspam of late, clearly I must remedy that.
And then I thought, how selfish of you, kaalee, keeping all of these glorious pics of Mr. Sean Patrick Flanery all to yourself. So, I said to myself, "Self? You must share some of these pictures in the form of picspam for your glorious flist."
So, in the midst of that, I was fine and happy and going along my merry way. That is, until thenotoriousso4 came along. With her new Dean. And found some new pictures of him. Oh, hot diggety.
eta: okay, if it is discovered that Sean Patrick Flanery is going to be in the February issue of Playgirl onsale January 10th, how would one go about procuring an issue without getting on any mailing lists? I mean, can you even buy Playgirl at newsstands? *hides*
Hi there, my old friend! I think LJ notifications might go to my spam email, so I need to look into that. I came back here to look at some old classroom set up pictures (I'm co-writing a book so…
Girl. Every time I think I want to write again I pop out like 1000 words and then I am done for months. But I want to write again, man, do I. I miss fandom and the collective squeal when something…

I was talking with Tara (also annoyed Pea, bless) because I was trying to see if you were on any social media outside LJ.
... I ought to rewind, yes?
We did…
