a public apology...

A public apology to Alfie Enoch:

The DVD of Order of the Phoenix has been on sale for over week now, hasn't it? And, exactly what has been heard from this corner of the world re: said DVD? That's right, nothing. Alfie, you must think I've forgotten all about you, that I've moved on to other fascinations within the HP world.

I assure you, this is not the case.

I am horribly embarrassed to admit that it took me a full week to actually purchase the DVD, and that this conversation actually occurred this weekend between copilot and I:
cp: I'm surprised you haven't got the Harry Potter DVD yet.
me: OH CRAP, I'D FORGOTTEN ALL ABOUT IT, OMG. I AM THE WORST FAN EVER!
cp: kaalee, can you lower your voice a little, I think London is trying to sleep...

So, while, on the surface it may appear that I have abandoned you in the wake of "zomg, christmas rush," in fact, I've been busy and just got sick and had about 394875 things to do that rhyme with "Smeal Life" and couldn't actually act like the kaalee you know and love.

Honestly, who else even notices you in the random scenes?

observe:

I notice when you blurrily tower over all of the other students in the background above McGonagall's shoulder...
BERJAYA

I notice your curious, but slightly wary expression directed at Umbridge...
BERJAYA

I notice when you slip your hand under the desk and cop a feel off Seamus's thigh...
BERJAYA

I notice when you check to see if Seamus noticed... (he did!)
BERJAYA

I notice the swoony hoodie-jacket-killer hat combination that poor Neville can't even look at for fear of dying from the pretty...
BERJAYA

And I notice the determined, very tall, protective towering you do in line when everyone else is in front of you.

Alfie, I promise, it'll never happen again. For the DVD release of HBP I will camp out in front of the movie store four days in advance wearing nothing by my I Dean sandwich board and playing the HP theme on a makeshift instrument of lightbulbs and chess pieces and composing sonnets about the wonder of Alfie in iambic pentameter.

Forgive me? Please?
