I tend to get pulled in all different directions at once, and just seem to fall into the next thing that needs doing.
So first, as a retired person, I tend to have too many things that aren't scheduled, that I'd like to do, and many things that are scheduled. So I'm going to do what any working person knows is a good idea. I'm going to take a day off.
As a self-employed person, sort of, I always can work on my clay. I don't ALWAYS however. It's never gotten to be a daily thing, except when going to the Open Studios at the Black Mountain studio. And that is dependent upon the mood of the place.
When the manager writes notes to people (not just me) in a disrespectful manner, I tend to not want to be there. And that will be changing soon, (after giving feedback to other people about this behavior) so I have owned my part, that I'm too sensitive. But a place to have artistic inspiration needs to be totally comfortable. If that isn't happening, I'm not going to be there.
And the main message I'm giving myself is, which day should I chose to not belong to my passion for clay?
Let's see, Wednesday just might work for both activities. At least most weeks.
So I'll look on the calendar, and see what is planned for Wednesdays.
Yes, retired people need calendars!
