"I have seen war . . . . And I hate war."

There is no war that does not affect everyone. It takes a toll on every aspect of one's life, and proximity to the battlefield affects very little. War incites physical change, mental change, and emotional change. In "Inflecto", players explore the relationships between those living in the Harry Potter Universe during the 1996/97 school year - Harry Potter's sixth year, should you need to orient yourself - and how impending war takes the ultimate toll. Here we hope to involve everyone in this world J.K. Rowling created, from students to Ministry workers, to Professors, to family members and other adults. BE AWARE, not all the plotlines need to center around Hogwarts or what's going on there. Adult plotlines can certainly be developed and should be focused on matters more pressing to them as opposed to social happenings at the school.

This is life. Love and hate and war, that's life. Bitterness, humor, angst, it's all life. And that's what we want here.

We are looking for auditioners with a good grip on the character, creativity, ideas, willingness to participate, good writing skill and ability, good grammar, general interest in the RPG, and a positive attitude.

Rules - Inflecto

1. All applicants must be of 13 years of age or older.
2. Community posts must be written in the third person. The only acceptable non-third person community posts are Owls sent between characters.
3. All personal journal posts should be written in the first person.
4. If a player will be absent for more than a week, the moderators should be notified. If the absence will be especially extended (i.e. a period of more than four weeks), the mods in conjunction with the player will come up with a temporary solution.
5. Each player must have a personal journal and at least one icon by which their character can be identified.
6. No Out of Character posts belong in the personal journal.
7. Each player must update the personal journal at least once a week. Problems with this rule must be brought to the mods' attention immediately. Defiance of this rule once will result in an email notifying the player of this rule being broken. A second infraction will result in a warning. Third strike and you're out. Note: the mods are not cold, heartless people and if you have a serious reason (personal emergency, work/school stress, family problems) feel free to contact Rachel or Thalia. Your privacy will certainly be respected.
8. All third person RPs must be put in paragraph form, and should be put behind a cut tag after a reasonable length.
9. No RPs may exceed the "R" rating.
10. Any interactions between characters should be written with both characters aware and consenting. (For help on how to role play two party RPs, please contact the mods.)
11. No incest or bestiality will be permitted.
12. Number eleven is so totally not a joke. *does not want to read a post about Fred, George, Percy, and Ginny all having sex with a Blast-Ended Skrewt. would be scarred*
13. Respect the rules (especially number eleven) and each other.
14. Join the Out of Character community inflecto_ooc.
