I need to read more fic, and also clean out the fic I've already read from my bookmarks. There are so many of them! Here are a few. Enjoy!

Summary: Based on art by Puckboum for the Captain America Reverse Big Bang. The prompt: "Post-apocalyptic AU. The idea I had while drawing was that the end of the world happens some time after WS or CW, Steve and Bucky are looking for Tony so he can make a new arm for Bucky, and Natasha, Clint and Sam are looking for them so they can stop Hydra from taking control of what's left of society. That or quiet slice of life, except in a post-apo world."

Went to my sister’s yesterday. We didn’t watch any more of AI8 (instead we both napped), but I did take her a CD of some of Adam’s music, including the Mad World she really wanted, his entire FYE (US release) along with some bonus tracks, Can’t Let You Go, Down the Rabbit Hole and Voodo, as well as the VH1 Unplugged and AI9 versions of WWFM.

Ian was in a very mellow mood when I got there. He wanted me to go outside with him, but instead of playing on the newly built swing and slide, he was more interested in the cars. He had me open and close doors so he could see what was in there, and then we both ended up sitting in the backseat of my vehicle for a while.

After lunch he got one of those little bursts of energy that come just before nap time (his, not mine, but also mine *g*) and he sat on my lap under the pretense of napping with me, but he still wanted to play. So he climbed and rolled around on me, poking me with elbows and knees and tiny toes. And then he started bouncing and jumping.

I told him not to do that because it hurt, and he just looked at me all confused and says, but I’m a bunny. I lol’d but still managed to tell him that I didn’t care if he was a bunny, it still hurt.

The Numb3rs fandom has claimed another awesome writer, and of course she’s been seduced by the Brothers Eppes. *g*

Breaking Eggs by janedavitt (Don/Charlie; NC17) And that wouldn't matter, he can deal, he can, with the guilt and the secrets, and the careful copying of what used to be natural, easy touches and words -- he can deal. But not if he's walking out alone, and he will be.

Yanks swept the Baltimore Orioles with a 6-3 win this afternoon. \o/ Before that they took 3 out of 4 from the Cleveland Indians and 2 out of 3 from the Minnesota Twins. Their record now stands at 34-20.

(I discovered last week that Derek Jeter is an American Idol FANATIC! Makes me wonder who his pick was this season – and whether he thought it was boring – but even more importantly, who his pick was last season.)

If any walking is going to happen, it's going to be a walk in the direction of the bedroom. "So you'd gladly, hm?"

Numb3rs: This is one of the fic written for numb3rsficathon, and it made me grin like a loon as I was reading it.

Just Another Day by sororcula (Charlie/Colby; PG13) He'd heard the stories about Mildred Finch, of her amazing tracking and sniping skills.

The Vampire Diaries:

Let Me Steal This Moment From You Now by thenyxie (Damon/Stefan; NC17) Elena doesn’t deserve what he has planned, she really doesn’t. That’s why it’s going to be even more delicious.

So We All Discard Our Souls by nu_breed (Damon/Stefan; NC17) Stefan wants so desperately to believe in Damon's humanity, wants to believe there's still some shred of good left in him, and that makes Damon want to prove him wrong even more, makes him want to make his brother pay for abandoning this, abandoning them.

I was really crap on rec’ing my favorite Numb3rs fic this past year, so as I’m going through the list at numb3rs_awards, re-reading some ‘old’ faves and finding new ones, I figured I’d share. *g*

Before This by sour_louise (David/Colby; PG13; drabble) He didn't know that one day you could look at the person sitting next to you, the person who'd been there all along, through bad times and good, and suddenly realise that there was nowhere else you wanted to be, no one else you wanted to be with.

Get Ready by sour_louise (Don/Colby; NC17; PWP) And oh god, that's all it takes because Colby's babbling now, "Yes, sir, please, sir, please."

Let’s Get It On by sororcula (Don/Coop; NC17; pre-series) He glances over at Coop while he grabs his coffee from the cup holder. Coop catches his gaze and grins over the rim of his own coffee cup. "You feelin' lucky?" he asks, winking. Don laughs.

Dirty Little Secret by mercilynn (Don/Colby/Coop; PG13; Angst) The phone rings and rings as the crimson liquid inches across the hardwood floor.

No Turning Back by sour_louise (Don/Colby; PG13; Angst) But what happened, of course, was that Colby showed up on the Janus List. A member of his team was a spy, and Don hadn't even known. Hadn't even suspected. The one thing that kept him together, the one thing he could be sure he was good at, taken from him. Just like that.

Numbers Running by admiralandrea (Don/Charlie; NC17; AU) Don left Cascade shortly after that and Jim had forgotten him, until six months later, Don had reappeared at B & E, sans FBI badge, but with his math professor brother in tow. Somehow, Don had managed to convince Jim’s partner, Simon Banks, to take the two of them on as bounty hunters.

Sightlines by rubynye (Don/Charlie/Coop; NC17) Don sees Charlie, flattened to the bed, covered by Coop's broad back, clutching at his shoulder and the nape of his neck where sweat darkens the short light hair.

What He Would Not by rubynye (Don/Charlie; NC17; pre-series) He was an idiot. An idiot to think he could be here and drinking and not do this, an idiot to think this wasn't exactly what he'd selfishly been hoping for.

Leverage: Gina Bellman’s TVGuide Blog is very interesting.

OMG, they play softball together! Christian [Kane] had black Leverage shirts and caps made, and Rob, his stand—in, somehow convinced the whole team to wear fluorescent orange knee socks, so we make a very dapper team. This is our third game of the season and we're two games up. I'm on the bench, having the game explained to me and cheering them on. "Go, Leverage!"

They hang out and have their picture taken on the scaffolding of the Leverage billboard!

The Sentinel: TheFrost is All Over by fluterbev (Jim/Blair; PG13) As the end of year approaches, both Jim and Blair are in festive mood. This whole season is poignant for them, but New Year’s Eve in particular – or more accurately the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Eve – is their anniversary. It was one year ago today that they finally stopped dancing around each other, and made a commitment to stay together for good.


Sports Night: The Light by mojokid (Dan, Casey; PG13) The silence between them was worn and comfortable, none of the splintering hurt of Dan’s last on-air meltdown. Casey hadn’t been the target this time. In his more generous moments, Casey knew that he hadn’t been the target last time.

Numb3rs Fic Rec: Pulmonary Archery by neur0vanity (Don/Charlie/Coop; NC17) No one’s ever doubted that Don is good at what he does, and it’s no surprise to you – likely less a surprise to Coop – that he finds out everything. Everything, down to the finite details of how you had taken off your pants and started jerking off when Coop was telling you about their moments in hotel rooms and how Coop had let you scream Don’s name when he fucked you. Don knows everything, and – somehow – he doesn’t smack you like you had expected. He doesn’t punch Coop, either. Hell, he doesn’t even start shouting. Instead, a small smile spreads across his face, and his words come out smoothly and without the possibility of misinterpretation.

“Show me how Coop fucks you when you’re pretending it’s me.”

The Sentinel Fic Rec: Tripping by lit_gal (Jim/Blair pre-slash; R; mystical stuff) The jaguar came tearing into the clearing, running straight for Blair with his tail stiff behind him, and Blair closed his eyes as he waited for the strike. Instead, the cat leaped through Blair and vanished into the Jim-tree. For a brief second, Blair felt relief wash through him, easing his pain, but then the wolf followed. With his ears flat against his skull and his teeth showing, Blair had no doubt that the animal intended to kill him.
