Numb3rs Awards: I updated the list of Nominees at Numb3rs Awards today, nearly doubling the total nominees. But don’t let that scare you off, there are still plenty of categories need filling. So get on over there and nominate your little hearts out!! *g*
Dante’s Cove Fests: The second fest has been announced over at
dantescovefests. The theme this round is Spring. Check it out HERE.
Numb3rs and Supernatural spoilers from Ask Ausiello:
Question: Since Cheryl Heuton is one of your biggest fans, do you have any scoop on how Numbers is going to write out Diane Farr to accommodate her pregnancy?
Ausiello: Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Ms. Cheryl Heuton: "Diane Farr's character, Megan, is going to get a sudden, prestigious overseas assignment. We expect that assignment to last around a month, though it could be longer, depending on how soon Diane's ready to come back to work. The nature of the assignment will cause her to rethink some of her attitudes toward the job, [which will] create conflicts that will continue into next season."
Question: Supernatural scoop, please!
Ausiello: It figures: Sam finally gets laid, and not only does the chick (Emmanuelle Vaugier) turn out to be a werewolf, but he's the one who has to put a stake through her heart!
due South Fic Rec: Return to Snow Valley by
phenyx_tp (Fraser/RayK; NC17; AU) Ray huffed a small laugh. "Mandy will adore him," he said finally. "And you will be her hero."
"That's sort of the idea," Ben added with a grin.
Ray frowned. "You trying to bribe your way into my daughter's heart, Fraser?"
"Damn right I am," Ben replied with a grin.
Numb3rs Fic Recs:
i by
dsudis (Don/Charlie; PG13; fluff) i existed because they said it existed--because someone could think of it, could put it into words, and so this thing that shouldn't be possible came into the world.
Just like this--though it hadn't been so much a matter of putting it into words. Still, they'd thought of it and then it had been real, whether they could understand why or not, whether it fit into their number line or not, no matter what it did to their worldview.
I Never Told You by
neur0vanity (Don/Charlie; NC17; violence implied) The wait was killing him. His body had been tense for so long that he'd started to shake, and the nausea was growing every minute. Sweat soaked through his shirt. And he finally heard Charlie's voice rise up, a heated and passionate shout, begging and pleading, and then Don was on his feet and bounding to the door. His team was yelling at him to stop, and the guards had their guns raised and pointed at him, and the only reason he didn’t make it to the door of the room where they tortured Charlie was because the force of the bullet entering his shoulder pushed him back.
Supernatural Fic Rec: Under Hill by
astolat (Sam/Dean; NC17; Amnesia) "Look, I just—I don't feel gay," he said, staring at himself in the mirror. He poked his cheekbones, pulled down his eyes. It was weird as hell, his face didn't look familiar at all. He leaned back a little and studied it some more, and tentatively put his fingers up on his neck. He had a purpling bruise a little way under the jaw, almost like a hickey. No way Shaggy had given it to him, though.
"Wow," Shaggy said, crouched down on the floor and poking around in the bags, "that's some serious self-hate you've got going there, Fred. I can't believe I'm dating you."

And...another reason this show has been irritating me this season. I'm about ready to tell Sam to stop suffering and die already.

Date: 2007-02-09 07:17 pm (UTC)Yeah. For some reason I'm not as willing to cut Supernatural slack the way I do with Numb3rs.

Date: 2007-02-09 08:05 pm (UTC)Yeah. I think because I write it as well as read fic. Plus, Psych is the only thing opposite it. And even then, I don't think I'd watch it without other people around. With Supernatural I don't write fic, I've drastically cut back on my readings, and I don't watch with other people these days.
I definitely have Dean-hate days. He's been a big part of my problem this season. He whines a lot. And he's been OOC most of the season for me. He went from "I am hunter" to "hey, fuck it all, it's too hard, let's take a vacation." The hell? I don't feel like his conversion to wanting something else is genuine. I'd expect this kind of thing from Sam, but not from Dean.
