Numb3rs Fic Recs: I’ve been reading some of the fic that was nominated at Numb3rs Awards so I can do some voting, and I’ve come across a few that deserve a mention. (That’s not counting all the ones I’ve already rec’d here. *g*)

Cause and Effect by elfinessy (Don/Charlie; NC17) In his head he knew he shouldn't be doing this. They'd broken this particular habit a long time ago, stopped because from both moral and legal standpoints it was wrong. But his skin remembered his brother's touch - that addictive combination of adoring worship and intimate exploration - his body recalled in perfect detail the pleasure Charlie could inflict on it, and tonight it was what he was craving.

"Ok, so say I...say I don't like strawberries. I haven't come right out and said it but neither have I given any indication that I might like strawberries."

"I'm going to assume that this is a helpful analogy and no one has, in fact, been plying you with unwanted strawberries," Charlie says carefully.

One Week by kiwi_from_hell (Don/Charlie; NC17; angst) On Monday, Charlie decides it’s something. The way the small hairs on the back of his neck rise whenever Don is in the room means something. Maybe the something is nothing, a dead end, or maybe it is really…something. Charlie also decides he needs to work on his English skills.

Served Cold by ceares (Don/Charlie; NC17; angsty cliche!fic) "What I want is for you to know what it feels like to lose your brother. I want to you live every day, knowing you couldn't protect him. What I want Agent Eppes, is for you to fuck him."

Shades of You by neur0vanity (Don/Charlie; NC17) “This can’t ever happen again. Do you understand me? Never again.”

The Other Fic Recs:

NCIS: Classic 2 by sperrywink (Gibbs/DiNozzo; NC17) He liked the new Gibbs in a way he hadn’t been able to in the past. Oh, he’d always admired and looked up to Gibbs, but this version was more approachable and softer towards Tony. He liked it. More than he could ever explain, even to himself. Accepting being in love was the harder task, but Tony suddenly realized it was probably already too late.

SGA: April 1st in the City of the Ancients by lunabee34 (John/Rodney; PG13) Rodney is one hundred percent done with April Fool’s Day for the rest of his life. So this? Whatever this is Sheppard thinks he’s doing? Rodney’s not falling for it.

TFATF: Tokyo Drift: Mexio by Shoshanna Gold (Han/Sean; NC17) Not wanting anything more until Sean had shown up, his easy grin belied by his sharp, determined eyes. As he'd gotten to know Sean better, he saw that behind the determination there was loss, and Han understood better than most how those two things became interwoven in your soul, building a hunger that couldn't be easily fed. A hunger that matched his own, no matter how well he hid it.

T:TSCC: Five Things That Derek Reese Learned About John Connor by wizefics (Derek, John; PG) Derek learned that John carried the weight of the world on his shoulders with ease as an adult, because the burden had sat so heavy when John was a child.

Tin Man:

Following His Lead by r_grayjoy (Cain/Glitch; PG13) Somehow, with his honest demeanor and sarcastic humor Glitch had gotten past Cain's armor, had become someone for whom Cain would willingly lay down his life to protect.

Letters to Cain by annehiro (Cain/Glitch; PG-13) The raids on the castle have lessened. At first, there were hundreds of witch-supporters, armed to the teeth and raring for a fight. Now, it’s some old guy wailing on the outer wall with his cane... cane... Cain! Wow, I’m glad I’m writing this down, otherwise I’d forget who I was writing to, or what I was writing about.

Torchwood: Best Laid Plans by out_there (Jack/Ianto; NC17) Ianto hadn't, not really. He hadn't come into work thinking, 'I need to buy new towels for the employee showers, talk to Tosh about her missing expense receipts and sleep with Jack tonight'. It wasn't a seduction, just... an instinct that he'd followed. "Given your self-publicised reputation, I didn't think you'd have any trouble improvising, sir."
