Welcome to a brief round up of this week’s posts you might have missed on Smorgasbord.

As you know I have been away for the last ten days and in the middle I went on a 3 day cruise with my two sisters which was very interesting and more about that later. However, after being lulled into a sense of complacency in our little patch of rural Ireland with infrequent interactions with more than a handful of people… even my robust immune system couldn’t withstand the efforts of 4000 revellers crammed into corridors, queues and entertainment venues.  So I came home and tested positive for Covid.

I am moving through it quite rapidly but it will be a few days until I am firing on all cylinders. So a slightly abbreviated service will continue until then.
