What's goin' on?
OMG you guys, how is it that I only seem to post like once a month now? Ugh. Also, why is it that I'm in a physical job and I'm still shaped like an amorphous blob? Heh, that rhymed, Rhyme. God, you should have seen the video my girlfriend filmed of me at the pool. *cringe*
Work is still busy but I've settled into a sort of "I'm gonna be here a while" mindset and now accept my fate. I got into two arguments with the boss after he yelled at me (and I mean he likes to slam things and curse and how the fuck has *anyone* dealt with this guy for all the years he's been in business?) and I stood my ground. I even called him into the warehouse and closed the door so we could discuss how absolutely unprofessional he acted in that instance, and I did it without crying, LOL! I have problems with authority, especially when older men think their normally sexist way of behaving is typical. Um, no, and I will stand up for myself when I'm in the right. Which, y'know, doesn't sit well with guys like my boss. But, I think he's come to accept that he's just going to have to deal with me not acting like the meek women he's used to.
Blah blah blah boring! What else is happening?
My girlfriend and I are driving to Cincinnati next week for Destielcon. It's a fan-run con and I'm looking forward to it because it's like the old days before you had to take out a loan to attend a con. I think it's going to be really cool. I'll be speaking on a panel about AUs on Saturday, if anyone out there reading this is going. And if we're bored we'll be right next to a giant mall so we can find stuff to do.
Current fandomy interests if nobody follows me on Twitter or Tumblr: Ragnar and Athelstan on Vikings; Game of Thrones; Orphan Black; the video game The Last of Us; I'll be starting Orange is the New Black Season 2 shortly; and right now I have two more episodes of the anime Attack On Titan, which is fantastic.
Oh, and I signed up for the Dean/Cas Big Bang and I should really start thinking what to write for the sequel to "In This Secluded Spot..." considering drafts are due August 15. HAHAHAHAOMG
