Title: Do Over 2 Characters: Jason, Tim, Alfred, Jason Blood Continuity: AU Warnings: Foul Language Rating: PG-13 Word Count: 4249 Summery: Just when he thinks he's getting a handle on things, Jason is thrown for another loop. A/N: Part One can be found HERE. Thank you to the lovely dragonbat2004 for her Beta skillls :)
Gelato is divine, Jason's mind declares, as his body melts into the naugahyde-covered bench seat. His eyes are closed as he focuses on savouring the fabulous substance in his mouth. It's not giving him brain freeze, but he's totally forgotten about that particular plan for dealing with all the stupidity currently hurting his head. Instead, it's all about rolling up his eyes behind his closed eyelids and just existing in the moment—which is all about tasting cold, sweet heaven on his tongue.
So I now have FOUR fics done. 2 smut Bleach Fics (which is part of a series). 1 is the first part of a character study for Ichigo and Shirosaki. That one MIGHT turn into Yaoi, I'm really not sure. Shiro would LOVE it to go there, demanding beast. I also have the next part of the Do-Over verse good to go.
The Problem....and you knew there would be one, is each time I read through one before posting, I then start working on the NEXT part. Yes, I am ADD. Anyhow I'm going try and get a couple posted this weekend.
And in other news..... SQUEEE!!!!!
For those on my flist that don't read the Bleach manga....DO! Seriously, it's sooo much fun. And it has PLOT, and characterization and....SQUEE!!!
The current events are all flashbacks as we finally learn more about Ichigo's um.... existence? See, his parents being who and what they are have resulted in a hybrid child (well, three actually, if the genetics hold). Then we have the tantalizing hints about what one of the main baddies may have had a hand in as far as Ichigo's birth and possibly other things.
Here is one BIG advantage Manga has over western comics--in my experience -and that is consistency With Manga there is often only one writer, so only one person has to know what has happened previously and what IS to happen. Western comics on the other hand is a collaborative effort where writers seem to constantly go through a revolving door, requiring new people to learn years of characterization, events and history...if they bother to. Some obviously don't.
So yes, I'm firmly on-board the manga train. And I would love to invite others to join me :)
Title: Escape Fandom: Batman (Comics) Characters: Jason Todd, Batman, Joker Word Count: 893 Warnings: Character Death Disclaimer: Not mine, mores the pity. A/N: Mirrors the events of Mad Dash
Jason will be the first to acknowledge that he's been through a lot of shit. Even before he died. And after, well that was a fucking gong show. It has taken a long time for him to get his head back together, and root out all the shit others had whispered to him, not to mention the shit he’s told himself. It has taken even longer to come to terms with who he was, relative to who others wanted him to be.
He's justifiably proud of the progress he's made, but there are still some large stumbling blocks in his way. So when the Arkham escape alarm sounded earlier--via one of the batsystems he hacked--he didn't think, he just went. Menacing a frazzled guard got him an answer to who broke out and had a 20 minute head start. And once he knew who he was looking for, things should have been relatively easy, but the fucking Clown is so goddamn unpredictable.
So why was he being predictable now? Back at the dilapidated tenement building Jason has claimed as his own, he watches the readouts on the computer and a pattern to the Joker's movements emerges. Damn it all!
Getting up so hard that his chair topples over backwards, Jason sprints down the stairs to the sub-basement he’s converted into a garage and grabs his bike. There is a squeal of rubber on cement and he's out though the old subway tunnel before the smell of his peel out can register.
Amusement Mile. That dump Dick bought and has worked so fucking hard to turn around. He’s even been successful. Which means it'll be full of people, ripe for whatever depravity the Joker has planned. With a sinking heart, Jason knows he can't get there fast enough, but he's got to try.
He never had a lot of dealings with the Joker as Robin, not before the last time. When the Clown had been around, that was mostly Bruce's thing. If Jason was involved, he was taking care of the henchmen. But honestly, he never paid attention to where the Clown was based or how he choose his hideouts. Such is no longer the case. One of the first things Jason did upon his return to Gotham was to compile a complete history of the fucker and his habits. So Jason is well aware that the fun-house at Amusement Mile has been used on more than a few occasions. And the bodies Joker left in his wake all suggest that it’s where he’s heading now.
The bike isn't a subtle vehicle to be taking though a theme park, not that Jason cares. Especially not when people are screaming and panicking. Faced with the human stampede, he unceremoniously dumps the bike on its side and pushes his way to the edge of the swarming mass. Free to move, mostly, he makes his way around the side of the funhouse. Why go through the maze when he can just use the access hatches and alcoves? He memorized those the first time he found the Clown here.
It takes far too fucking long, even though he knows it's the fastest way to the center stage. For all that he's not a rookie, his heart is hammering in his chest. It's the Clown. He's had his chances to kill the fucker before and, for one reason or another, he hasn't done it. Can he do it this time? Can he end the nightmare?
And it is a nightmare, once more, as he comes out at his destination, as he sees the pleading woman and the child. And the knife. He knows Joker is talking, he even knows that Bruce is there. None of it matters. It's not about revenge. It's not about making the world a better, safer place. It's about one terrified little girl. He doesn't say a word as he pulls out his gun and squeezes the trigger of one of the glocks.
The crack of it seems deafening, and yet, oddly removed. Everything slows as the bullet hits and the Clown falls backwards. He can see the hands losing their grip on the child, the girl screaming as a few droplets of blood spray her right cheek. Then she's running to her mom. Good girl, good girl.
Time resumes as he looks at the spreading pool of blood seeping from under Joker's head on the stage. The gun is still out. It has to be. Nothing says the psycho is alone here. Over his shoulder, he yells to Bruce, “Get them out of here!” He doesn't wait; he goes about the room, clearing the corners, looking for—there. Someone could have taken that access hatch. Or there—three doors that lead back into the fun-house. Too many damned choices. He picks one and goes. He has to go. The Joker is dead. Finally. And Bruce saw it.
He could have picked the wrong way, but he doesn't run into Harley, or any henchmen. He doesn't run into anyone. Though he can hear the sirens when he exits the fun-house. Gordon's people are on their way. Good enough. It has to be good enough.
The gun stays in hand until he makes his way back to his bike, picking it up from where he'd let it fall. It's time to go.
Title: Mad Dash Fandom: Batman (Comics) Characters: Batman, Joker, Jason Word Count: 1023 Warnings: Character Death Disclaimer: Not mine, mores the pity. A/N: follows the ficlet Then and Now.
Dick is over in Europe on a case. Tim is with his Titans, doing something in a place that seems to be somewhere in Antarctica. Damian is out with a broken leg. The list of people he can call on for back up is vanishingly small. Still, there is nothing for it. The alarm has sounded, and Batman must answer. There are too many dangerous psychotics in Arkham; even one of them escaping is unacceptable. He has enough deaths on his conscience, from all the other times Joker, or Two-Face or someone else made a break for freedom and promptly resumed their murderous ways.
The car speeds toward the facility, easily passing the few cop cars also making their way to the sanitarium. Thankfully, when he pulls up, there is no smoke, no gaping holes in the walls. Well, that’s something at least.
No sooner does the car stop before the main door, than he is out and in the shadows, heading for Arkham's office. He needs to know who he is looking for.
Even in the well-lit hallway, no one takes notice of his dark shape; not one of the few moving around, for all the world looking rathre unconcerned. On the inside, everything is quiet. No barked orders, no rushing personnel. This isn't at all what he expected. Can it be a false alarm?
Letting himself into the office of one Jeremiah Arkham, the Bat faces the man he hopes has the answer.
When the bespectacled man in the white lab coat looks up, he isn't the least bit surprised to see his visitor. “Ah. You're here,” comes his blasé greeting.
“Who is it?” Batman growls, getting right to the point. He doesn't have time for games, and in his experience, the facility director is just as likely to engage in them as the inmates. How the man has retained his job is beyond the vigilante's understanding.
“Joker. Just him. We were able to lock everything down before anyone else could follow him into the sewers.” There should have been a note of pride in his statement but instead, there is only resignation.
A revolving door. All of his Robins have made that observation at one time or another, and Bruce can't disagree, but it is how things are. Fine, he'll track down the Joker yet again, and bring him back, once more playing his part in the melodrama. If he is very lucky, he will be able to manage it before any innocents lose their lives.
When Arkham glances at his papers again, the Bat takes the opportunity to leave unseen.
***
The trail is, unfortunately, easy to follow. There are bodies. So many bodies. But the Joker doesn't stay in one place long enough. Bruce isn't sure what he's after. Something. …Something of his? So far, the Clown has been crashing his own haunts and killing whoever he finds there. Some of the dead are former henchmen. Others are just random unfortunates in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Oh no. One of the places the Joker used to call “home” is Amusement Mile. Which is no longer derelict, thanks to Dick. It's been a bustling hub of entertainment for two months now.
Of course, it's only one possibility, but it does follow the directional pattern. If the psychopath stays on course. There is no guarantee of that happening. Joker can be very random. But Bruce has to do something to try and get ahead of him.
The Batmobile flies along the streets of the city, still quite busy for 10pm on a Thursday night. It doesn't matter. He deftly weaves through the traffic, heading for what he hopes and fears is the Clown's next destination. He has to be right.
When he gets closer to his objective he has to park. The funhouse isn't near any of the fire lanes. He has to get out here and make his way on foot. His spine itches, not with the feeling of someone behind him, but with the knowledge that no matter what, this will be bad. The Bat is too much of a realist to hope that no one else will be hurt before he can subdue the clown.
The scream is the first sign that his fears are well founded. As people shriek and flee in a mindless stampede, Batman gives up all pretences of subtlety and dashes the rest of the way to the entrance of the funhouse.
The darkness, the mirrors, the monsters popping out, he’s expected all of it. At worst it's an annoying distraction that cost him precious seconds, as he focuses on finding his way to the center, where the Clown no doubt awaits.
When he finally reaches the center with its small stage, his heart drops. There are three dead bodies in the standing room before the stage. Above the carnage is the Joker, a cruel hand about the neck of a toddler as the psychopath carries on a one-sided conversation with the hysterical mother. Something about time having passed and the woman--Sandy--having been busy, he isn't sure and frankly it doesn't matter.
Before Batman can so much as pull a batarang, the Clown slowly swivels his head toward the vigilante in a creepy fashion, reminiscent of a b-rate horror movie. Those eyes fall on Batman and seemed to shine with an insane unholy glee.
“Oh good, you're finally here, Bats!” the maniac cackles. “Maybe YOU have the answers I'm looking for. You being a detective type and all.” He twirls his other hand carelessly. In it is a straight razor with a wickedly sharp edge. The motion of his hands results in the blade’s nicking the child's cheek. “Ooops! Hahahahaha!”
“Joker!” Batman roars. He's about to do something, take action somehow, when the world shatters with the sound of a gunshot.
The Clown doesn't make a sound as he topples over backwards, a hole where his left eye had been. Blood begins to pool under the fallen man's skull matting the hideous green hair before spreading beyond.
Batman looks over, stunned. There, before a small access alcove, stands Jason, one of his guns in hand.
Title: The Do-Over (Part 1) Fandom: Batman (AU) Characters: Jason Todd, Tim Drake, Dick Grayson Genre: AU/Gen Warnings: Jason likes to swear Word Count: 6004 Summary: Jason wakes up thinking he is 15. According to the date, he should be 19. Oh and Magic sucks!
A/N: Thank you to the fabulous dragonbat2006 for her wonderful beta!
Jason isn't a morning person; he never has been, except when he’s had to be. And right now, he has to be, because things feel very wrong. The boy sits bolt upright in bed, blinking furiously, trying to get his eyes to focus... A baby blue room? Other then the colour it's pretty generic, just a bedroom like any other. But not like his. He's not in the Manor. Where the fuck is he?
Title: Rip in Soul -- Part Three Author: AiyokuSama Fandom: Batamn, comics/DCAU crossover Characters: Jason Todd, Tim Drake, Bruce Wayne, Alfred Pennyworth. Warnings: References to RotJ and torture. Mention of past character death. Lots of swearing. Rating: Pg-13 Word Count: 5594 Summery: The broken Robins meet for a first time. Author's Notes: This is the second in the series. You can find the first part HERE and the second is HERE. Thank you dragonbat2006 for putting up with me and being such a wonderful beta!
Jason doesn't miss the fact that Alfred is keeping an eye on him. The man hasn't said a word, but that's because he doesn't have to. If Jason does anything to threaten Timmy, the butler will have something to say no doubt. Possibly with the business end of a shotgun. Good thing Jason isn't planning on doing anything of the sort.

The old butler hadn't said a word. He'd just taken him to the study and left him there. Since the stoic man hadn't mentioned anything about how long it would be before he’d return, Jason didn't bother to sit down. Instead, he openly inspected the room. The first thing he did was go to the clock, because some things were just fucking universal. And sure enough, when he moved the hands on the clock face, it opened for him.
So, I've decided to try my hand as a Bingo card. And this being me, it will of COURSE be with the Batfamily :)( My hc_bingo cardCollapse )Having never done one these I'm, left to wonder.....Am I supposed to fill ALL the slots? Or just a line of five?
Title: Epilogue -- Aftermath (Forced Awareness Series) Fandom: Batman Characters: Dick, Tim, Bruce, Alfred Genre: Family, Angst Rating: PG-13 Warnings: (This Part) Mention of sexual situations. If you want to read the previous parts here they are -- parts1 and 2 of Opportunity, parts 1 and 2 of Regrouping, parts 1 and 2 of Brothers and Alfred's Interlude and part 1, 2 and 3 of Confrontation.
Now, in the author's notes I say that this is the end of the series. And it is. But....I'm thinking that maybe a oneshot is required to see how the boys progress....or don't as the case maybe. So we'll see. As always, C&C is ever appreciated.

He let me sleep too long. I knew he would, so it’s useless to be annoyed, but I am anyhow. Dick tries—is trying?—hard to lighten my mood, though I don’t think I’m acting particularly traumatized. Alfred does the same in his own way. He hasn’t made a cheeseburger pizza for me in almost a year.

A/N: This bunny bit after reading Justice League 005, with Bruce running off after HIS boyfriend :P Thanks to twinsarein for the awesome beta!
So last night I was looking at very pretty S/B fan art and a bunny bit me. It was to have been some S/B smut. A PWP. Yet when I started writing it took on a life of it's own. It actually has a story to it! But there shall be porn. And when it's done, it will need a beta. Anyone comfortable with NC-17 level stuff?
I know that I haven't been around LJ in a very long time. And I'm sure a lot of folks have given up on me and my ever writing. Well I'm here to tell you that I'm back and I'm writing :) Man it feels good to write again. Anyhow, originally my plan was to come in baring a fic for those still watching my LJ. There was just one glitch. My two usual beta readers are busy until December. So I have to ask, is anyone wiling to beta for me?
I have one fic instalment ready to g and should have the second in a day or two. Anyone willing to beta for me has to a) not be a afraid to make red marks and b) be ready to deal with and point out my changing tenses, something I'm BAD for but have a hard time spotting on my own.
Title: Regrets 2.0 Fandom: Batman Characters: Dick, Jason. Some Alfred. Rating: NC-17 Genre: Angst with humour? Humour with angst? Warnings: Jason’s potty mouth and porny goodness Summary: Jason has been dosed with sex pheromones. Tim told him to go molest Dick. Word Count: 4,442 A/N: This IS the story I set out to write. Finally. I wanted to write the sequel to Duct Tape Use #41 that ladyblkrose requested. But rather then porn I ended up writing Regrets 1.0. It wasn’t what I was going for, but demanded to be written. So I did. Then I buckled down and did this one, the 2.0 version
Tired doesn’t even begin to describe it as Dick drags himself out of the car, Alfred having gone ahead to make a snack presumably. Give him a gang war any day of the week. They are less work than playing nice with the socialites at fund raisers. Less dangerous too. Between the debutants, the mothers that seem to conveniently forget that they are married and the grandmothers that think he’s “such a nice boy” Dick is more than ready for a nice long soak in the bath. Maybe then his cheeks will stop hurting.
I don't mind offering fic rec....if I have something that fits what's being asked for. And I'm not above a little shameless self promotion.
But when the person the recs are for starts shouting in ALL CAPS--in comments, not the original request--that they don't want stories about a certain character (a character that happens to feature in the fic I recced) then I start feeling...used? I don't know. But it sure as hell doesn't give me a warm fuzzy.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ To be continued in A Better Choice: Epilogue
Hey folks :) As promised, I'm working on Part Four. However I've run into another snag, namely how one goes about disposing of poisonous gases still in their containers. The ADitF simply glosses over this point so I'm turn to you wonderful people.
Does anyone have any ideas on the matter? I'd rather not have the boys leave it for the army as it was in the graphic novel, since I'm playing with the time line again and the situation won't be the same.
Thank you everyone that has been reading. I'm hoping to get part four done and off to my beta by the weekend.
A Better Choice Part 3 (Through A Glass Lightly series) Fandom: Batman Continuity: Post-CoIE AU, Umbraverse Characters: Jason, Dick Rating: PG-13? C&C is always appreciated :) Previous parts One and Two
“You’re sure this is a good idea?” Dick’s annoying voice is in his ear. Again. This is the fifth time that he’s asked that in the last twenty minutes.
Okay! So ABC part 3 is at the Beta. I DO still need some help with the hacking scene. Anyone want to look it over and give suggestions?
I'll be working on the next part of Forced Awareness (confrontation: Dick) tonight. But it's going to be a while before I have anything worth posting. So..... I would like to pimp out vespertila's Teach Verse series. I love this series! Of course, I'm very biased :P The verse started as an RP between she and I, which was a hell of a lot of fun. Then she decided to fic it, which is just damned AWESOME. Go read the AU fun :)
I'm finished the drabbles to date :) man that was fun! I edited the post to show my list of 15 character if anyone is curious. I will also answer more drabble requests if anyone wants to ask, but it might take a back burner to other projects.
At the moment I'm splitting my ficcing attention between betaing the next couple of parts in Vespertila's Teacher Verse series as well as working on part three of A Better Choice. Once I've got those done (and no part three of ABC won't be the end) I'll revisit the Forced Awareness series.
If you think I'm taking to long to get things out, by all means, give me a good smack. I often need prodding to keep my ADD mind on track :P
Hey guys :) So I'm trying to get my ass back in gear and write part three of ABC. But I've hit a stumbling block. I need to computer knowledge/lingo to explain why things are going to happen a given way. Some understanding of hacking would help too. But I'd be happy with anything that sounds plausible.
A Better Choice Part 2 (Through A Glass Lightly series) Fandom: Batman Continuity: Post-Crisis AU, Umbra Verse Characters: Jason, Alfred, Dick, mention of the Teen Titans Rating: PG-13? It’s the grin. It’s the goddamned grin. That has to be it. Maybe. No, more likely it’s the fact that it’s Grayson that makes Jason see red. Or it could be that Jay’s just focusing on his nose. Even though that irritating smile reaches clear to Grayson’s eyes, making it look like they’re fucking laughing at him, it’s obvious that the former Robin is really not feeling well. Red nose, pale complexion, sweats, sniffles, a dry cough that he’s trying to suppress...( This way to brother bonding...Collapse )
After yesterdays discussion, I went on a hunt for a comic verse map. Oracle's from No Man's Land specifically. Even on the biggest one I found, the resolution wasn't great and subsequently reading it was difficult. So, it being my day off, I decided to clean it up, resize it and make it more readable.
This effort was daunting enough. Then I discovered that the OFFICIAL map, from the comics, has two errors! It was missing the location of Von Gruenwald Tower and it had Surh Complex and Kubrick District both labelled *54* GAH!!!! The DC clueless wonders strike again. Anyhow I added those fixes into my editing.
With all that said, allow me to present the Fixed Comicverse Gotham City Map.
Feel free to snag it and disrepute it as you see fit :)
A Better Choice Part 1 (Through A Glass Lightly series) Fandom: Batman Continuity: Post-Crisis AU, Umbra Verse Characters: Jason, Bruce, Alfred, Dick Rating: PG-13? They’re fucked. They’re both completely off their rockers! Yes, Jason has been going over things in his mind, uncomfortable things about his parents, about how they aren’t alive any more. Sometimes they show up in his nightmares. But he’s fucking dealing with it. It’s not like there’s anything unusual about his grieving. It’s certainly not like he’s a danger out on the street!
Okay, so I'm a month overdue :P But here you are, this is my entry to darthbatgirl's Timmy's First Time challenge.
He has been Robin for two years now. In that time, Tim has seen some rather odd things, but nothing was as odd as how he found himself with a boyfriend. A certain young burglar broke into Wayne Industries Research and Development division. The security is—and was—hardwired to trip alarms in the Batcave as well the usual precautions. Robin, being closest at the time, headed that way to check it out. Given that he managed to get there while the perp was still doing his thing, it really shouldn’t have been a big deal. The kiss had startled him. Yeah, startled is a good term for it. Wigged out might be better, but Jay isn't willing to admit to that one just yet, he has way to much on his plate as is. Cass had silently headed him to a box of stuff and just as silently indicate that he was to help her with the decorating. Well, that isn't really a chore; she's nice enough and all, not to mention it means he doesn't have to think on everything else that the other members of the house represent.
