My BF is VERY anti-Supers.  I mean EXTREMELY.  He hates them ALL.  He's utterly convinced that Bats only has utter contempt for Superman. 

Now, bear in mind that he's never actually read the comics and his knowledge of the characters comes from the cartoons.

Except, that doesn't really explain in it in my mind.  Right now I'm currently working my way through the Justice League and just watched Hereafter.  Batman sitting at his console a scrap of Supes' cape in his hand as he tries to figure out what happened...PLEASE tell me that's not honest affection and caring?!  In true Bat fashion but still!  It's there!

It got me thinking.  My BF isn't the only perosn I've run into that are adiment about the negative feels of one character for another.  And I ahve to ask myself, what the hell are they watching/reading?!?!?!  I mean seriously, some stuff is subtle and you'll have to try three times before getting it, but most of it smacks you upside the head (hence why Bats and Supes are so slashable!) with a clueX4 ^_^;;

I suppose it's one of the mysteries of the universe.
