Check out this classic pink Cadillac at the most recent twice a month (during the summer months) car show in the parking lot of a local business.
The interior. It's not really visible but there were decorations declaring the owner's love for Elvis Presley.
As car buffs (I don't rise to that definition) know, Elvis owned a 1955 Fleetwood Sixty Special and two other pink Cadillacs. The original 1955 Fleetwood is kept at Elvis's Graceland home.

Time is speeding by. This is the last Skywatch of spring, 2024.
Today, I'm taking you back to May 17, when there was a cruise-in in a local supermarket's parking lot. One of the store's employees, who is a Corvette enthusiast, puts these together. This year, it's expanded to twice a month (first Saturday and third Friday) through the end of the good weather.
The sky looked a little grim in one direction.
But less grim reflected on this little red Corvette's hood.
One more plus part of that Chevy above.
I like looking at classic cars, and finding these reflections is part of the fun. I hope you found it fun, too.

At a car show earlier this month, I saw a car make I had never heard of.
Avanti.
Here are two views of the car.
It was the headlights that grabbed my attention.
I was so taken I never looked at the registration sticker to see the year information. After I got home, I looked Avanti up online and found that it is the descendant of a Studebaker model. Even after Studebaker ceased to exist (1963 in the United States and 1966 in Canada), others continued to produce various iterations.
I don't think this is an original Studebaker Avanti but I don't know what it is. Hopefully one of my car loving readers can help. To me, it's a beautiful car.

Once each month this summer a group at our local Wegmans (a large supermarket chain in New York State) held a car show. The highly polished cars made for some interesting shadows and reflections.
I couldn't get close enough to see this car's registration sticker but I'm guessing an early 1950's Olds. I'm sure one of my readers will set me straight if it isn't. I was trying hard not to get people in my pictures so my angles aren't the best.

Our local Wegmans (a supermarket chain based in New York State) was the site of a car show once a month this summer.
At the last show, this car caught my eye.

These are from a car show on May 19. There was also supposed to be one last Friday, but the turnout was poor due to the weather, and we didn't stay long. So let's stick with the May 19 show.

Friday, I went to a parking lot car show at a local supermarket. Today, we had our first experience with an EV (electric vehicle) which I will blog about in the near future.
Today, though, it is back to the past.
I should have taken better notes at the car show because I have no idea what year or make it was. Any car buffs reading this?
I will guess, though, that these colors weren't the original. I can't make up my mind, either as to if the main color is purple or blue. I'm guessing purple.
