Because the makers of Castle love their fans, and Stana Katic is just far too hot to ignore, 12 icons from a promo that was recently released. Or maybe it's a clip from a future episode. Either way, since I was making Doctor Who icons anyway, I decided to go ahead and make a set of these. I loved Beckett in Season 1, but this season she has just grown into an amazing character. I hope the show continues it's upward trend and she becomes the big star she deserves to be. Love her, love Beckett, love Nikki Heat... Ergo, icons!

Well, I may have found an appropriate series to fill my icon-making gap left by Sanctuary. I've been dying to icon Castle, but I haven't found the time. So today, upon news that author Robert B Parker died - author of the Spenser books, not to mention Jesse Stone and Sunny Randall... sort of a real-life Richard Castle - I decided to icon last night's episode. I ended up with 56 icons!

Castle is back! And hey, more icons within 24 hours. I like this kind of turnaround. ;-D And what a great opener, too. Bring on Season 2!! I love Beckett. Really a lot. And Castle is okay, too. ;-D You'll probably be able to decipher that from these icons. But really, I think the show is mainly about her, anyway. Castle is just a red herring. So it's all good. Also! This has three icons from the bloopers on the Season 1 DVDs. It should be obvious which ones those are. ~g~

Hooray, more Castle icons! Courtesy of elfcat255, in exchange for letting her borrow my Guard Season 2 episodes. Very nice trade, if I do say so myself. :D I am loving Kate Beckett (and, by extension, Stana Katic) more and more with every episode. She is awesome. I really hope the show makes it, just so she can become a huuuge star. :D Also, as soon as I saw Nathan Fillion pull this vest from his car, I knew I had to make an icon using it. ~points at user icon~ Total love for an awesome show that has a writer as a main character. :D

If you're not watching yet, I hope these icons inspire you! It's funny and very well-written. It's a great vehicle for Nathan Fillion, but the other characters are obviously having a lot of fun, too. I love the two cops who work with Beckett. Ryan and Esposito, I think. And I still think that Beckett and the ME have something going on. Why else would the ME be in Beckett's bedroom while Beckett was naked, hmmm? ;-D

Also, I didn't realize 7 and 8 were right next to each other until they loaded just now. Happy accident! :D

My number one reason for wanting to see "The Spirit" was because Stana Katic (from Castle) was in it. She did not disappoint! I felt like I should have hated her character, so over-the-top and eager to please, but she really won me over. I think she was the best part of the whole movie! I want a spinoff! :D So, anyway, I capped a bunch and made some icons. There are also icons from Stana's appearance in a movie called "Feast of Love," where she totally macks on Selma Blair. :D

Well. Less than a week after the premiere, and there's already a DVD release in the works (TV Shows on DVD has the cover art and release date!), and I already have a batch of icons ready. ABC, take note. Don't kill Nathan Fillion. Let this be his rocket to stardom (we know he asked Buddha for one, didn't he? Or was that a pony?). Beautiful actress, Nathan Fillion, good writing, funny premise... it has all the hallmarks of "brilliant but cancelled." :D Not to mention the fact it's on ABC. ABC has a horrible history with non-NYPD Blue cop shows. ~fingers crossed~

So, anyway, for people who don't know the show... Nathan Fillion is Richard Castle, a bestselling author who has just killed off the lead character in his best-selling series of mystery novels. He's blocked, and trying to hide the fact that he finds his job boring. In walks Detective Kate Beckett, lead investigator on a series of murders which - gasp - have been taken directly from Castle's books. Castle, looking for some fun, joins the investigation. Hijinks, as they say, ensue. Check it out! It's well worth your time.
