Landscape

BERJAYA

A scene from the golf course made more beautiful in black and white.

Golf reflections

BERJAYA

This picture was from a few weeks ago. The weather has heated up a bit in Berlin since then, today's view was much different! It's still a nice reflection though. Hope you're having a great weekend, don't forget to visit Weekend Reflections.

April theme day: Beauty of simplicity

BERJAYA

Though spring has officially started, it doesn't look or feel like it here in Berlin. Despite the low temperatures and cold wind, I have to admit there's a certain beauty in the bare branches of this tree and the gray sky. I just hope things will change soon, a bit of warmth and some blue skies can do wonders for your golf game.

A new month is upon us. For more examples of the Beauty of Simplicity, take a look here.

November theme day: Ephemeral

BERJAYA

I admit, I had some problems with this month's theme day. I couldn't find any recent photos that I liked, so I went back to the archives. There's nothing quite so ephemeral as a rainbow - especially a double one! I shot this one with my iPhone back in July after a quick, but heavy shower on the golf course. I imagine we'll be seeing lots of rainbows today, but I hope this one brings you a smile. For more ephemeral images, click here.

Reflections on the 18th

BERJAYA

I hope you enjoy this look at the golf course today. Unfortunately, I think my Friday afternoon rounds are a thing of the past now. But there's always next year! I'm off to Israel early tomorrow morning, but I'll be back towards the end of the month. I'll have plenty of pictures to show on my return, I'm sure. If you can't wait until then, check out my Instagram feed or follow me on Facebook. Until then, you can see more reflections here and more skies here.

October theme day: Shelter

BERJAYA

For this month's theme day, we're off to the golf course. These shelters on the driving range mean that you can practice your swing, no matter what the weather (some of them even have heaters).

BERJAYA

As you can see, there are quite a few huts - so there's plenty of room for everyone.

It's hard to believe October is already here! I'll be traveling to Israel this month and I'm very excited. I hope you've got something to look forward to as well. Don't forget to stop by the CDP site for more takes on Shelter. You'll find them here.

Bogey bear

BERJAYA

Meet Bogey Bear, he's one of two Buddy Bears at my golf club. He was created by artist Rolf Kinkel.

BERJAYA

His other side shows the golf club's logo. Do you like his blue side or green side better? It's sign time again and you'll find more of them at Signs, Signs.

Golf bear

BERJAYA

This funny bear suddenly appeared on the driving range of my golf course. He's advertising a big golf tournament that's coming up. I just hope the weather will improve before that day comes! For more signs, take a look at Signs, Signs.

Golf reflections

BERJAYA

It's been quite a while since I've featured a golf course photo here. I must admit, golf in Europe is exhausting - the courses are long, you have to walk (even with the pushcart, it's hard) and a round usually takes well over four hours. When I walk, I can't have the extra weight of a camera with me and there is usually not time for photos anyway. Luckily for you, I had  my phone with me last weekend and got this water shot. Hope you enjoy the reflection - it was not a warm day, but good enough.

PS: Don't ask about my score. My game has still not adapted to "European" conditions. You can also see more of wonderful Vienna on my travel blog.

Seddiner See

BERJAYA

Although we haven't found a place to live yet, we have found a golf club! My husband was a member of this club before we left Europe seven years ago. Since we have friends that still play there, we decided to join as well. Now we've really just got to find a home!
