So I haven't posted in a while, but that's because my life totally rocks and I haven't had time to post.
Last week was the uber-suck. Just a shit-ton of little things went totally wrong and pissed me off beyond words. I came within inches of breaking down a few times, but this weekend totally made up for it.
Friday, the guys were awesome enough to pare down the errand list and I got to drive to Carrollton (an hour away, non-local folks) where
proleprovo lives, and we snuggled for a while, then I took him to look for cars.
(His car situation is totally fucked, look at his journal for details. Suffice to say he got a "free" car which is a total lemon and now we're trying to decide if we're going to be able to fix it or if we're going to have to buy him a new one.)
We had some fun car-shopping and I taught him how to deal with car salesmen- or at least, how *I* deal with car salesmen- and it was beyond fun. We then went to a wonderful little cafe for dinner, had some lovely lovely fun, and then went and soaked in
chainedboi's hot tub with he and his Mistress. It was nearly 1am when we finally went back to his house and crashed.
His bed is uncomfortable and I have trouble sleeping in any new bed, but when we got up we worked on getting his credit score, had breakfast at the same little cafe as the night before, and then drove back to Atlanta.
Saturday was spent cleaning my house and getting it ready for the tea on Sunday and was a lot of fun. I hung out with Chris some, and he,
proleprovo, and I moved furniture around and rearranged my house and got it ready, then
hunterone and I hurted
proleprovo for a while (that was Yuuuuuuumy) and we snuggled and put him to bed.
Sunday was the tea, and it went superly awesome. I didn't get too freaked out, and
proleprovo did a super-fantastic job serving.
I served
Cornish pasties
Ham and apple chutney sandwiches
Avocado and bacon sandwiches
Pumpkin spice scones with clotted cream and homemade apple-cranberry butter
Pumpkin and pecan tartlets
Variety of cookies,
It ended up being a *lot* of food, and everyone loved the scones (despite the fact that I made them with bread flour rather than all-purpose. Oops)
I'm super-super proud of
proleprovo, he did AMAZINGLY well as a server. I'm sooooooooooo proud of him! He stayed calm and kept everything going and just plain did wonderfully.
We cleaned up afterwards, then snuggled and er, had some other fun, and then he fell asleep on the couch while I masturbated (still not allowed to masturbate in front of him, dammit). It was so cute- Chris came home from work while he was asleep on the couch and the toys were still in the sink int he bathroom and I was asleep in the media room (I am a guy- I fall asleep right after cumming) and Chris came in like this. Poor
proleprovo was Soooooooo humiliated. Chris didn't care, though, he thought it was funny.
So yeah.........
And yesterday was good,
proleprovo went to work with me, and I made up for Friday by putting in like an 8 hour day (this is a part-time job) and taking them all over the place. I also introduced
proleprovo to Costco, which was fun, and spent a shit-ton of money throughout the day.
I bought new flannel sheets for our bed, granola for the boi and I, paper for the printer, and some food for at school.
When
proleprovo and I got home, we looked up information on hiking the Appalachian Trail for him, then
chainedboi took him home for me (thanks, babe!!!) and I went out with a friend from Frolicon.
Very cute boy, has a little drama right now but working hard to clear it up. He's flirtatiously interested in me, specifically in playing, but I warned him I have a full plate and am only interested in an occasional snack. He also wants to get more involved in the community, and I have plenty of contacts there to help him with.
So I think that could be fun, and we had a great time talking for like 3 hours last night.
He's coming over on Wednesday to meet Chris and do a second run.
Ooooooooooohhhhhh speaking of which, Chris,
proleprovo, and I had our first family check-in Sunday morning. We all sat down and brought up whether we had issues (
proleprovo left a shirt at my house and Chris had to do that laundry, but it turns out I'd borrowed the shirt and not given it back so yeah....), figured out if everyone was feeling like they had enough time/attention from me, how they were getting along together, etc etc etc. It was WONDERFUL and I'm SOSOSOSOSOSOSOSO thrilled to see that.
I'm sooooo pleased with how things are going, and I did a tarot reading yesterday morning that reiterated over and over how ahrd I've worked for what I have, how well I've done, and that I have to keep working to keep it but that I can and that if I keep working/appreciating/communicating/carin g that I will achieve my happy household goals :)
So, in conclusion:
My life totally rocks.
And I'm exhausted.
And I went to the gym this morning and am sore today but happy.
And most of all.... I <3 my awesome partners :)

Across the gently rolling hills,
Beyond high mountain peaks,
Along the shores of distant seas,
There's something my heart seeks.
But there's no peace in wanderering,
The roads not made for rest.
And footsore fools will never know,
What home might suit them best.
But oh, the things that I have seen,
The secret paths I've trod,
The hidden corners of the world
Known to none, but me and God.
Yes, the world was meant for knowing,
And feet were meant to roam.
But one who's always going
Will never find a home.
Oh, where's the tread that binds me,
The voice that calls me back?
Where's the love that finds me-
And what's the root I lack?
My heart seeks the hearth,
My feet seek the road.
A soul so divided
Is a terrible load.
My heart longs to rest,
My feet yearn to roam.
Shall I wander the world
Or stay safe at home?

Along the shores of distant seas,
There's something my heart seeks.

You know you're a Kitchen Witch when...
your idea of a post-holiday update on LJ is to post a recipe you ate over the holiday!
My boyfriend's mother made this soup Xmas Eve, and we all loved it. We actually added more rice than it called for, making it more a stew than a soup, but it simply made it stretch farther for unexpected guests and be even more filling.
( Easy Crockpot Black Bean SoupCollapse )
I'll be making a couple of batches of this and freezing them, I think.
Expect more soon, we're flipping through the crockpot recipe book I got her, and copying some of the recipes now. ;-)

It sounds like everything is going so well right now for you. I wish I lived closer as you always seem to make the most yummiest things :)
