Progress often disappears the moment you finish something, especially for ADHD brains that never quite register the win. Meet Apollo, a hackathon project by Darius Ehsani, Jayden Betts, and Ayomikun Oyeyemi built on a simple idea: small wins deserve to be seen. Snap a photo the second you finish something, and Apollo turns it into a Win Card that shows up in a shared feed, camera to Supabase upload to feed display, the full loop already works. The build leans on the Gemini API and is grounded in real research, Self-Determination Theory, the Progress Principle, and studies on ADHD and reward, not just intuition. The team's test for every feature: would I actually open this at 11pm when I don't feel like it? What's next is an iOS v1 with friends, reactions, and streaks, a closed beta of 50 users, and a Challenges feature for shared goals and accountability. Your maps app has never once asked if the street it picked is safe to bike on. Aggie Street Smart is a hackathon project by Patrick Liu, Bardia Anvari, Benedict N., and Katherine Liu that flips the priority. Instead of optimizing for the fastest line, it scores every segment of a route for risk and quietly steers you toward the safer one, even when that costs a few extra minutes. Here's what's under the hood: Route segments get color-coded green, orange, or red. A vision model analyzes street view frames and tags what it sees: lighting quality, foot traffic, visible hazards. Weather, live traffic speeds, dangerous intersections, and crime data from the surrounding area feed into a composite score layered on top of Mapbox routing, with Google Gemini powering the analysis and server-sent events streaming results into the UI so nothing blocks the map. The team started here because of near misses on their own commutes: dim streets, unprotected turns, riders getting hit. What they found while building was that a town celebrated for cycling still has blind spots designed right into its roads.
