The Marine Angel is a great story about overcoming odds. A 634 foot, 70 feet wide WW2 freighter Christen “Marine Angel” maneuvered its way down the Chicago River with only 7 Inches to spare on each side at Van Buren Street on its way to become a Great Lakes freighter. Watching stories like this or maybe mafia movies, we sometimes root for the bad guy to win but only on TV. It’s the ultimate story teller to distract us from our anxiety created by those we elect into power.
Power through Individual thought made our country great. Ideas and scenarios from across the country brought together in an effort to unite for security and prosperity for reasons like Freedom of Speech and Freedom of the Press. Today our two main political parties create fear of speech and own the press. They write the story in the manner they see fit. Congressional members allow “friendly” Businesses to write the bills before Congress. Congressional appointment was never meant to be a lifetime job. Fixing this problem should be at the top of our agenda.
Understanding the formation of the mafia gives us insight into how to disband Congressional Clicks. Mafia was the result of groups that banded together in groups to carry out their own justice. Mafia originally had no criminal connotation, just as Congress was originally intended to gather the words of citizens. Today, Congress bows to the word of Large Businesses who create scenarios for Representatives that sway citizens into contributing to their bottom line. There’s a story at NPR that explains how money is funneled from non-profits to PR Firms to Representatives and how those organizations work together to create bills that citizens pay. Find it here. In the case of the Mafia, police officers went for the “Boss” to take the organization down. Our goal is to rise the organization to the top but change from bad to good. If representatives don’t know each other, have no ball in the game of Wall Street, and are new to the ways of government, their ability to commit conspiratorial acts without oversight are slim to none. The plan:
No one may occupy an USA office for more than one term in a row, includes every elected office in the United States.
Collusion is more likely to happen when individuals work together for long periods of time and have a direct interest in the outcome of a vote. Therefore, we the citizens of the United States, declare for security reasons that no person may occupy any elected seat in the USA government continuously. In every seat that is elected, the individual must not have occupied that seat or any other seat in the previous term.

April 2 2024 Is National Peanut Butter and Jelly day. A day that I just can’t get into after my mother sent Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches everyday in my lunch sack until I was 15 when I refused to carry those brown sacks that drew every bully on the block.
Bullies are still in full force as adults. They just change their tactics and clothes to more respectable appearances with fancy titles like the Iranian president that claims Israel attacked their commanders in Syria. Who knows if it’s true but everyone knows that Iran can’t be trusted and hires bullies to drop bombs on innocent people.
Children are innocent people that are forced to take vaccines in order to attend tax paid schooling. Schools proclaim this rule is to protect other children but refuse to show any documentation that their claim is true. Doubt concerning the source of the statements surrounding vaccine safety nags at every mother and father. Those who are informed are well aware that pharmaceutical companies are driven by sales while Congressmen who make regulations about vaccines and school enrollment are sometimes heavily invested in their stocks.
Stocks on the farm may become less flooded with animals and farm equipment as they argue over how much money to put into the farm bill. Certain farm groups are lobbying Congress in an effort to increase conservation. More conservation of farm land means less land to be planted in American food and higher food costs while tax payers pay the farmers to leave the land bare.
Going bare in a bikini may get a little tougher this year for those who indulge in McDonald’s dining. As if the food isn’t already questionable with the gas and chemicals they use on their potatoes, the deep fat frying, and the calorie count of one sandwich, they are adding Krispy Kreme Donuts nationwide in the USA.
The nation has been experiencing heavy inflation currently riding at 3.2% (goal is 2%) with goods and services skyrocketing over the past few years. According to some economists, deflation might be in the cards where businesses are forced to drop prices. From an economists point of view, this is not good news! In addition, the news and implementation of AI could force many people out of work which means very few with disposable income.
You might use some of that disposable income to entertain yourself on April 8 2024. A solar eclipse, the sun obscured from vision by the moon, will amaze the children but be sure to protect their eyes by using a pinhole projector. As promised by the Chinese, they have sent a murad of military to circle Taiwan in a show of force after Taiwan’s President visits with the US House Speaker. China had previously “warned” against the meeting. More info can be found here
The United States appears to be ramping up for a conflict with China. Several bills are currently in session, introduced on March 29, 2023 Senate Bill 1027 Sanctions China. “A bill to require the imposition of sanctions with respect to the People’s Republic of China if the People’s Liberation Army initiates a military invasion of Taiwan. “
When we must hire lawyers to defend our rights against law that was written by lawyers, might there be a conflict of interest when the majority of Congressional members (Senators/House of Representatives) are lawyers?
The Congressional research service gathered stats on the 115th Congress which includes 535 members; 435 House of Representatives, 100 Senate.
The most common occupation of senators prior to being elected to their posts was law, followed by public service/politics and business. In the House of Representatives, business was the dominant prior occupation, followed by public service/politics and law.
According to Brittanica “regulation, in government, a rule or mechanism that limits, steers, or otherwise controls social behaviour.” Regulation is used to prevent or enhance business deals that prohibit the free market from determining who succeeds and who fails through discreet deals made with both Congress and authorities in control of Regulatory Agencies.
Congress passes many laws that have been written by the industry most interested in its passage for profit reasons. Once the law has been “lobbied” enough by industry, its passed and then sent to the appropriate Presidential Agency to be used in forming Regulations against their competitors.
Regulations are enforced under law drawn up by Congress. Congress does not approve regulations but there is always a 30 day comment period for citizens to voice their concerns.
The regulatory agencies are used to tax citizens indirectly and spend enormous amounts of money to prevent certain companies from succeeding and to help others that contribute campaign dollars.
Regulatory agencies, also known as the Presidents cabinet , are under the President’s control and have recently become tools used by the President and others in attempts to bypass Congress to create law. Agencies include regulators such as Department of the Treasury, Department of Transportation, and Department of Health and Human Services. Regulatory agencies are also lobbied by Corporations, not just Congress.
These regulatory economic scenarios to benefit certain companies can becoming very complicated. Simplifying the issue shows the true smell of a regulation.
A simple example: A coal stove company called Coal decides they aren’t selling enough stoves. They lobby for a law to be passed through Congress that allows Regulators to enact limits on the amount of gas that may be used on home stoves, an excessive tax for those who continue to use, and forces manufactures to only produce Coal stoves, not gas, to protect the environment. This very small regulation, among thousands filed every year, would put most gas stove manufacturers out of business and pads the Coal profit margin with a huge windfall. The process repeats starting with campaign contributions.
Those who believe in Socialism/Capitalism highlight areas of our government that appear to be a socialist type of program. One of those is Bankruptcy where one reader pointed out that they, the Corporations, get to “keep their massive profits. “
Most people in the United States are aware of Bankruptcy both for individuals and corporate persons to finalize poor financial decisions. The scale is equal for all although, Bankruptcy is abused by both groups of persons. On the income side, Both groups of persons do get to keep their “massive” profits.
Our system is not flawed on the receiving end i. e. “Keep their massive profits”. Our system has problems with how corporations earn their profits. Through stocks, regulations and lobbying, corporations are able to push Congress to pass bills benefiting businesses that Congressmembers are invested in, regulate, and control through regulatory agencies, making those Corporations an extension of Congress. This is the issue that must be addressed to squash the Corporate hold on American Citizens.
