Apologies for not having updated for several months here.
As some of you may be aware - or not aware, whatever the case my be - I am in the middle of moving, from Germany back to the Uk with the army, so I've been under a great deal of pressure to try and get things sorted without my husband, as he is currently serving a tour in Iraq.
However, he will be home in 8 days, so hopefully things should go a bit smoother with his help - but there's still alot of work to be done over the next 2 months.
With this in mind, I wanted to give out a public apology to all the members here, so say how terribly bad I feel for letting this community get so abandoned of late.
I want to rectify this desperately, and so, have decided, that when I have finally moved and settled back in the UK, (and have access again to my computer!!) I will do the re-vamp I said I was going to do at the beginning of this year!! *blushes scarlett*
I haven't forgotten you, or my faith, Wicca is with me every moment, of every day, and is at times what keeps me going. I have collected several images from all over the net to turn into graphics, and therefore, I now have a big project in mind for how the look of this community shall be.
Until I al able to get this done, I will be quiet again for a while - but I promise you that this community is still active, even if it appears to be extremely quiet lately. I just haven't had the chance to really get my teeth into having a look around the net for some good sites, but I will be updating (again when I have settled etc) with home-made recipes/spells etc, so please, don't go away, keep with our community, and we will do our utmost to try and pull everything back on track as soon as possible.

I decided to share with you guys a Romanian holiday we're celebrating today: Sanziene, or for your own convenience, we could call it Fairy Day.
Romanian tradition says that today animals speak in human tongue and the skies open. Young women must braid themselves flower crowns and then throw them on the roofs of the houses. If the crowns remain on the roofs, then the girls will mary during that year. The young men must light purifying bonfires and those who manage to jump over the fires will have their wishes come true.

Hey all! It's your friendly neighbourhood moderator here to remind you all that this community still exists. It's been a bit quiet of late, so to shake things up, I thought I'd alert you all to the fact that your very favourite, most lovely moderator  immortal_wicca is turning (shall we say) 25 today!!!
So go on over to her journal and wish her the best tidings you can muster, or leave a message here, and I'm sure she'll see it. And while you're at it, do any of you have any special birthday witch traditions you follow? Make a post about it! I'd be very interested to see what kinds of special activities, foods or folly you involve yourselves with on your or others' birthdays!
And besides all that, has anyone done anything interesting for the solstice this year? I didn't make it to stonehenge this year, but I'll be there for the winter solstice in December.

Hello! My name is Meg and I was surfing around LJ looking to find anything interesting and found you! It caught my eye, even though I did notice that no one's posted in awhile (unless you have protected entries which, obviously, I wouldn't be able to read). ;)
I'm a Religious Studies minor in college and I've studied just about all the major religions on earth, but find myself drawn to the religions that really tie us (human beings) in with the earth... and the religions that have strong ties to women (few and hard to find!!) I was just looking to have some contact with people who practice/study Wiccan. If nothing else, I'm just curious.
I'd love to hear from anyone about the craft. Or if anyone can reccommend books or other people I could talk to... I just feel drawn to it! Can't be explained, I suppose. Thanks!

Hello to all my Pagan friends here, and I hope you all had a safe Yule and a Merry New Year!!
I would like to give the community a bit of a re-vamp this New Year, as we've had the same layout for a while now, I feel like something fresh would be lovely!!
What I am asking therefore is, does anybody have any ideas or preferences to how the layout looks? I can whip up headers, banners and icons with no problem, I can match the layout and colours, but what I would like is some community involvement, as we've been a little quiet of late. Nobodies fault, as we all have lives to lead and jobs to go to! lol!!
So, if any of our blessed members would like to pop their preferences as a comment here, or send me some images that they love and would like to see in the layout, please do so, as all your participation will be greatly appreciated and recieved.
This is your community, and we would like you to be happy and really feel a part of it.

Hello, i'm quite new here (quite new to any and every-thing in general, really). I'm 19 (20 on October 13th) and living in Missouri. I have not participated in anything around where i live (i wouldn't know where to begin) and i am basically looking to learn about the things the religious teachers around me wouldn't teach me and i finding more knowledge in doing this than in all my years preceeding.
I'm hoping that along the line, i can learn more and make some new friends because knowledge is the most important thing to me. If anyone can help me along these lines, i would be much obliged though this place already looks like it might be conductive for me.

Hey all! I'm Kat from Canada, 17 at present moment. Umm... Let's see... For as long as I could remember, I've always had Wiccan beliefs. They weren't taught to me, so I'm guessing they were passed on from a previous life. I've always had a strong interest in mythology, in particular to Greek myths.
Although I don't practice magick due to the fact that my mother has that negative stereotype about The Craft, I do acknowledge the major Sabbats. It's really ironic because my mother was born on Samhain.
Besides Wicca, my passion is creating fanart, which is how I found this little haven.

Merry meet!
My name is Maria, I'm 16, I'm from Romania and I just joined the community. I can't be officially called a Wiccan, but I do share the beliefs and I'm thoroughly interested in Wicca. I'm mostly familiar with the practices and rituals, even though I've hardly performed any. Wicca really suits me, and I hope I'll be able to call myself a real Wiccan one day, soon maybe. Anyhow, I hope to learn from you guys.

hello all,
Does anyone out in cyberspace know if any mystic fonts exists for downloading? I'm thinking like Runes, or Theban and Ogham(i think that's what it's called) or one of the Angelic languages.
It would be great if we could write in our web-logs and emails with runes!!
