This is just fun...

There is a She-Wolf of London fandom on Tumblr. I'm...slightly freaked out.

ETA: And I just bought it.

 Via an Apple IIe emulator. Sadly, the Doctor was the first to go (drowned while fording the Kansas River).

 I  have a couch!  Granted, it is still covered in plastic, but it is here! In the apartment. People (including myself) actually have something to sit on now. :)

Wool by Hugh Howey

I enjoyed this, though I think I missed the point.

The truth on top of a lie on top of the truth was interesting, but I'm not sure what the silo society had to gain by such an elaborate hoax (or not-hoax). This is part one, so I imagine that this will be explained in subsequent parts.

Speaking of, Wool felt very much like a complete short story. I'm wondering if the story was intended to just be the one novella, and Howey decided to continue after its positive reception.

An interesting concept, but I needed more for the author to get his point across.

Ivory and Steel by Janice Bennett

I enjoyed it, though I thought the heroine lacked a sense of self-preservation. If you know a murderer is wandering the house, it's probably not a good idea to investigate every little rustle and squeak. On three separate occasions, Phyllida places herself in easily avoidable danger.

Despite that, this was a quick, fluffy read.

Ah. Sleepy Hollow. It's nice to enjoy something for simply being what it is.

To say that this month, particularly the last few days, have been rough, is an understatement. So, I'm soliciting fluffy, happy stories, links, pictures. So, if anyone is still reading this LJ--anything happy or silly would be great right about now.
