Another one from Coal Drops Yard, this time a bit of colour and some distant people, and those geometric umbrellas…for some reason it has me thinking of Alain Resnais’ film “L’année dernière à Marienbad”:

      Yes, sharp shadows, strong, geometric shapes and rather marionette-like people…. Thanks for digging out that image, it was hovering on the periphery of my memory

    i barely see the umbrellas and even after you pointed them out they were still quite subtle – what really popped for me was the organic shape made by those flowers – and the small verticals from the people – but it isn’t like a blob of an island
    now when i zoomed in – the two umbrellas are felt more and that polka dot shirt….
