About laser cutting:
Laser cutting of carbon steel or stainless steel (CNC) is nowadays the mainstay of modern, environmentally friendly and high-quality industrial cutting technology. This technology requires no prefabricated moulds and no change of cutting tools. The cutting process is precise and the amount of waste is optimised, minimising the environmental impact of the process.
The laser beam from the CNC machine itself is non-contact, and unlike other cutting technologies, there is no need to replace parts regularly due to wear or deformation. This technology does not produce unnecessary waste.
In laser cutting, the moulds are cut and cut directly from the design stock, eliminating the need for templates and re-tooling.
During cutting, the heat from the laser beam is focused at a predetermined point and melts the targeted part of the workpiece, making it malleable. The process is of course fully automated, with the metal sheets being cut to shape by the machine according to predefined parameters tuned to the program. The customer can send the production programme electronically to Silos-tech Ltd.
Since the laser beam is non-contact and there is no wear on the tool, its life is much longer than that of a conventional cutting tool, which is in contact with the surface to be machined.

At Silos-tech Ltd, laser cutting is performed with the TruLaser 2030 fiber, a high performance two-dimensional cutting machine. The TruLaser is a high-speed laser cutting machine with a touch-screen interface that facilitates the work of the operator and the precise work of the operator. It provides ease of use during work and optimum visibility of the entire work area. It is now an industrial “smart tool” that automatically adapts to the material to be cut, so that focal length and other parameters are set automatically. All this eliminates the possibility of human error, creating all the necessary aspects of quality workmanship. With the TruLaser 2030 fiber, there is no need to change lenses or cutting heads, as the machine cuts all materials and sheet thicknesses with the same cutting unit. All in all, with the TruLaser 2030 fiber, the work is fast, precise, high quality and environmentally friendly. Depending on the power and productivity, different lasers are available for the laser cutting machine: the TruDisk 2001 with 2 kW, the TruDisk 3001 with 3 kW or the TruDisk 4001 with 4 kW.
