On Friday because I completely forgot about it, whoops! And I have a friend coming into town next week, so I may or may not have time to post next Wednesday (or the rest of the week after) either. We shall see.

Reading
  • I finished Death in the Dark Woods by Annelise Ryan (Monster Hunter Mystery #2). It was... fine. I was honestly annoyed a lot for this one being all "oh, Bigfoot is so unlikely because someone would have found real evidence in the forest by now" while it turned out there was potentially a whole troop of chimps living in the forest for decades that no one found any evidence of?? Make it make sense. I've decided I won't be continuing with this series because I just don't like the setup of all the murders being committed by humans using the guise of cryptids. If it's a cryptid series, I want cryptids! Plus the MC cryptozoologist is way too skeptical and also annoying imo. And, as has become more and more of a complain for me in books the past few years, I do not dig the therapy speak.
  • I listened to more of Thrawn: Treason by Timothy Zahn (Star Wars: Thrawn #3). I'm about halfway now and enjoying it, even if I wish there was a bit more of Eli. I am very 👀 about Ar'alani and Faro though.
  • I started reading The Decagon House Murders by Yukito Ayatsuji (The House Murders #1). This is the roommate's pick for our friend group's annotation swap this year. I'm not finding it particularly interesting so far, but I'm not that far in yet. I do need to pick up the pace, though, because I was supposed to have finished this by the end of May lol
  • Ficwise, I'm still reading a lot of Love in the Air. Currently on a very long, very angsty fic called Chasing the Storm by [archiveofourown.org profile] pretend and enjoying it a lot! I love a fic about Sky's issues, but this one also gives Rain a lot of trauma to work through, which is very fun.
Watching
  • The roommate and I watched The Boy Next World. We actually blazed through it in basically two days lol There was just so much happening!! Very interesting with the parallel worlds premise and how messy that makes everything. BossNoeul were fantastic of course, and I really enjoyed the secondary ship as well.
  • The roommate, best friend, and I watched the latest episode of Love Upon a Time. Jom finally stood up for Kaew! Phop and Klao are out and determined to stay together despite Phop's parents! The murder/drug crimes have come to light via betrayal by friends!
  • The roommate, best friend, and I watched the latest episode of Magic Move. PurePitcha continues to be the best part. Rit finally sort of came clean and it definitely looks like I was right about Itthi knowing all along.
  • The roommate, best friend, and I watched the latest episode of Love of Silom. Mostly very cute, though I'm not sure I agree about Krit being in the right for publicly outing them at Wayu's work and him wanting Wayu to quit. Especially since Krit's still being a coward about his parents. Also a bit worried about Wayu's sister being back and them not being Singto's dads anymore :(
  • The roommate, best friend, and I watched the latest episode of Enemies with Benefits. Love their determination to list out the bounds of their relationship (good communication, cooking for each other, comforting each other, living together now) and still calling it friends with benefits lol Ladies, you are fucking dating!!
  • The roommate, best friend, and I watched the latest episode of Wu. Speaking of dating while not dating... "I bought your family home and am moving in, also I am going to share your bedroom because it has good vibes" sure is something lol Loved seeing Pete's angst and am looking forward to more with what happened to his sister at the end of the ep.
  • The roommate, best friend, and I watched the first episode of A Dog and a Plane. What a good first ep!! So funny, and all of the characters and relationship dynamics are excellent so far. Also mad props to Jojo for deciding to open the show on a guy having a cock ring cut off his dick lol
  • Relatedly, the roommate and I watched a couple short documentaries about rescue workers in Thailand, since the system and way the workers are viewed socially is quite a bit different than elsewhere, particularly the US. Very interesting.
Listening
  • Listened to more of Happier with Gretchen Rubin.
Writing
  • My [community profile] fandom5k assignment is aaaalmost done. I'm hoping to finish it between breaks at work today and the bus home, so I can post it well in time for the deadline tonight and have a breather.
Learning
  • Nothing.

Good on your with your fandom5k!

How interesting regarding rescue workers in Thailand- they're primarily volunteers?
