My Curly Knife

BERJAYA

I was trying to tell Tommy which knife I wanted after he brought me a short paring knife after I asked him for the long, serrated knife. He knows what serrated means. But, brought me a short one. He knew I wanted a knife to slice a tomato. But, he did not know what a tomato knife was. This was the evening I was running 100.9 temp.

Finally, out of frustration and lack of ability to think, I blurted out--"my curly knife". Well, he understood what I wanted. I laughed at both of us, that we could even call a knife 'curly.'

This is the best knife I have ever had for slicing a tomato. I did buy these from a church who sells them for a fund-raiser twice year. I will order them from the Rada company from now own. The woman jerking me around about my car is the one who sells them.

By the way, we have continued to call this the "curly knife." The thought still amuses me. I try to picture how to use a curly knife.  I suppose this will be a family joke and tradition.

Back in the early 80s, I was at a house at a dinner and someone was fretting over not being able to slice tomatoes. I suggested the guy use a steak knife. The people standing around just about laughed me out of the kitchen. Finally, someone got a steak knife and easily sliced the tomatoes. I was vindicated and praised for being clever. Silly people. I had been using a steak knife for tomatoes for years.

Monday, I got lots done--5 phone calls, made two doctor appointments, bought my milk and ice cream at Public along with Nabisco Original Graham Crackers; filled car with gas, looked at a car, sent Tommy into PO to send off a UPS package--FAIL.

My a2milk has risen to $5.39/half gallon!!! Unbelievable!

We drove a car--2017 Buick Enclave. Then, I was hot and tired so refused to do more. Daddy never drove anything but a Buick until I was in my 30s. This car car is older than I want. But, we will see.

I lost five pounds, then decided to not take a pill for diabetes and feet are not so swollen.

Right now, I will nap through the DNC. As much as I want to see it, I cannot stay away from a nap.

Okay, just now, I saw a shocking sight. Tommy has gotten out the Oxyclean to spray on his pants legs where he walks on them and makes them nasty. H would never let me hem his pants. Maybe now he will. Will miracles never cease?

Does anyone have an opinion on an Enclave?

Have regular milk prices risen?

Have you ever used a Rada knife?

An Expensive Car Key Loss

About the age spot remover--I will look for it tomorrow at store. I wanted it for one flat brown spot. The things I had taken off were raised, so this spot was different.

The woman who just saw my car and asked about it without my advertising it wants to test drive it. However, I managed to lose the key. I spent several hours trying to talk to a dealer or locksmith about the problem. One dealer said it would be $90 to make key, and $175 to program it, and "oh, by the way, you need to have it towed to the dealer." That won't fly.

One locksmith called. He could come here, make the key, program it from his van for $250--DEAL! We were amazed he could do it from his van since no one else seemed to be able.

One woman from one locksmith was difficult to understand because of her heavy accent and fast talking. I asked her to slow down because her accent made communication difficult. When she hear 'accent' she started screaming at me that she 'did not have an accent.' I hung up. I was polite, but she went ballistic.

At other places, I was told to leave a voice mail. Only one actually called back, but the guy we used was here already.

One phone answerer promised a person on the other end. Three times I got an answering machine. The fourth time I called back, I pointed out I had not gotten a person. She got all indignant about me not like the way they did business and she was sorry I was unhappy. I hung up again.

I would recommend Around the Clock Locksmith--1205-225-6457. He was very nice, polite, prompt and took my debit card. Areas We Serve | Around The Clock Locksmith (atc-locks.com) He happened to be in the area, so the service was fast.

Maybe they have this business in other areas/states. It appears so when I googled the business.

Today, I had a list of 18 things to do, some were places we needed to go, and others were calls. I managed to get over half done.

I found out how to get to voice mails and was upset my monthly rate went up when I tried to get a better deal on cells. That was a bummer. two places to return things are on the list for tomorrow. Cannot get electrician to respond. Paid Amazon. No late charge. Called derm to find out why Tommy's prescription shampoo was not called in to pharmacy. We got all three store ads and bought some things. Got Tommy's car tag stickers. Called my bank.

Yesterday, I was commenting about a police car. As we passed it Tommy said,

"He lit me up." I have never heard that phrase, so wondered aloud why we were turning into a church. The guy reminded him and let us go.

I had gotten an email from McAfee that they had charged me $818.16 cents for five years of McAfee. I got out of email with no response and called bank. I will call every day. Then, I got a call that someone had ordered and ipad with my Amazon card, to call back if I had not ordered it or do something else. I just hung up. I don't play those games. Whew!

Tommy had salad at dinner time when I was sleeping. A apple flavored pork loin, carrots, onions, and potatoes are in the oven. I suppose it will be done by 10 pm.

I have a uti, so maybe won't eat much.

No, I don't know where I lost the key.

Has getting new key been a hassle for you? This programming is a pain.

How Monday Went

Since I had trouble going to sleep, I just slept until I awoke Monday morning...10:35. Immediately, I started calling. The first call took me 1.5 hours and I was not happy with the results--government agency.
