I think I mentioned previously that I've only managed to finish the third game in the Suikoden series, since that was also the first game of the series that I picked up and which got me interested in the series. (Wow, I used the word "series" three times in the same sentence. Go me and my l337 English skills. -_-) Well, I've finally managed to finish Suikoden V during the summer holidays, and on top of that, due to my glee at finishing V, I went on a Suikoden mania and have managed to complete Suikoden I as well (with all 108 characters recruited!) and have started on Suikoden II. (Though I won't be able to play again until until the holidays again. *sigh*) So that's 3 games in the Suikoden series that I've managed to finish so far. W00t! *dances*
So now some thoughts on Suikoden V - I'm leaving the Suikoden I thoughts for later since otherwise this entry will never get posted - as it is, it's already been rotting on my hard drive for about two or three weeks. :p
Finally, the Suikoden V entry I promised much, much earlier. :p I meant to post this entry about Suikoden V immediately after the previous entry, but I got too lazy to type it up. (So what else is new? :p) Anyway, onto my long-winded ramblings!
First things first - I absolutely LOVE this game. Unlike Suikoden IV, which I have yet to really play since the start bored me to tears such that I didn't get beyond the first hour or so (the damn SHIP that sailed so bloody slowly! >_<), this game, like Suikoden III, totally grabbed me right from the start. I love the character designs and the characters themselves. I love the plot, which does a superb job of showing the realities of life in that it balances both good and evil equally by showing us that those who initially seem evil may have another side to them, or another cause going for them which causes them to act that way, and vice versa. Like how at first it seems like the Godwins are really the only evil ones with the Barrows simply being foolish yet homeless and ineffectual - until the truth about them is revealed and they really may be as bad or perhaps even worse than the Godwins in some ways.
In any case, I think this entry has gone on for quite enough. I better stop before I break my keyboard.:p
Am really, really looking forward to going back home during the holidays to finish up Suikoden V and possibly replay/finish/start on the other games in the series. XD
Yay glad to find that there's someone else who loves On-lead's music as well! They definitely do make a difference to a drama cd - I find most of my favourite drama cds happen to be ones where…
Let me tell you... the magic weapon is actually a GLUE GUN! I think about 80% of my costume was glue gunned on... the only things I really sewed were the zippers on the trousers (hand-sewn) and some…
Actually I used to think so too which is why I never had the guts to try cosplay before! But because I really love Junior so much, it's always been one of my fangirl dreams to cosplay as him. LOL.…
