jessicalynn8383 and some of our other group members have come up with an unique idea that will promote Jack/Nathan discussion on the community. They've come up with the idea of a "subtext treasure hunt". Those of us that are Jack/Nathan slashers know that there is quite a lot of subtext in the show ;) so this should be fun. I'm going to, over the next couple of days, add a post for each individual episode that has already aired for people to begin their treasure hunts on. After tonight's episode, I have given jessicalynn8383 permission to take over posting the subtext treasure hunt threads for the remaining five episodes of this season. But hopefully we'll all rewatch some episodes and share the subtexty goodies the writers have given us in the first episodes of the season too. Maybe if we're lucky, pointing out the subtext will even spark some fanfic ideas. ;)

Admin stuff: PLEASE READ

I want to remind everyone that this is a JACK/NATHAN SLASH community. Therefore discussions should be centered on Jack/Nathan and NOT on Jack/Allison, Jack/Jo, Nathan/Allison, Jack/Abby, or on Abby/Allison/Jo's hair, makeup, clothes, etc. There is a fine line between criticising a character because you think they're written badly and bashing a character because they're competition for your pairing of choice or because you don't like the actress etc. Some of the discussions on this comm have been skirting the edges of bashing and I'm taking this opportunity to remind you all that even though this is a Jack/Nathan community, that does NOT mean we will tolerate bashing/flaming/bad mouthing of the other characters/actors here. To make sure you DON'T cross that line, try to keep your conversations centered on Jack's and Nathan's relationship with one another.

I'm not saying you can't mention their interactions with the other characters, because of course that's a huge part of the show, however please remember that the reason I created this community and the reason people who have joined this community are here is specifically for Jack/Nathan fic, art, vids, discussions etc and NOT discussions, fic etc about the HET on the show. There are LOTS of places on livejournal where you can discuss the het pairings from Eureka, but this is NOT one of them. So please respect the rules of this community and keep your conversations and posts centered around the pairing this community was created for.
