SEPTEMBER, 1996 The time has come when students no longer value the traditions and precedents set by their elders. It is not a surprise, but merely an adjustment to what was before. In response to these developments, Hogwarts has formed a small group of students - chosen by professors and peers alike - to both promote the idea of house unity and encourage a bright future for the school and its young scholars. It is my hope that these few students will endeavour to come together as a collective, to both promote and portray the standards that we of Hogwarts have lived by for hundreds of years. The eight sixth-year prefects will hold positions in this group as a part of their school role, and will hopefully have spent the summer forging communications between themselves and the two peer-nominated students of each house, through use of a wireless network called the Wireless Wizarding Web. It is my hope that we shall see the united force this group will present to (and on behalf of) Hogwarts School. From Hufflepuff house - Ernest Macmillan, Hannah Abbott, Susan Bones and Zacharias Smith. The Slytherin students: Draco Malfoy, Pansy Parkinson, Blaise Zabini and Theodore Nott. Ravenclaw's participants - Anthony Goldstein, Padma Patil, Morag McDougal and Michael Corner. Finally, our Gryffindors: Ronald Weasley, Hermione Granger, Harry Potter and Lavender Brown.
