Aaargh!!

I seem to have tweaked a muscle in my back...probably the combined effect of "crashing out" on the shorter sofa and also attacking the thug of a laurel tree....good thing I had already booked an appointment with my physio..I've been waiting for a month...good thing that this didn't turn up after tomorrow!!

Today has been catching up on the adventures of Keith Brymer Jones and Marj Hogarth as they work on their chapel in Pwllheli. A building I remember from forty years ago when I lived in Gwynedd.

The good news...I found the last gean on the tree!!

That will make a good pie!! The birds have been at the Gean along the lane and who can blame them? Sorry about your back. Hope it's soon in fine fettle again after physio.

In Scotland the chapel is the Catholic church, unlike Wales and England where it means a Protestant church.
The chapel here was originally a small metal and wood building built soon after these houses (late 1940s) The parishioners raised money to build a proper brick and concrete building by running fund raising evenings, whist drives etc. I'm not sure when it was built. Possibly 1960? Dedicated to St. Clair.
But with a flat roof and a dwindling congregation maintenance was a problem and it closed about four years ago

We wish you a speedy recovery, and we hope it's nothing serious. The cherry looks absolutely delicious. Have a blessed Sunday.

How did you know to make the physio appointment far enough ahead😁? Can you eat geans? We used to pass them by in Hants

Geans can be a little more acidic than eating cherries..but if you can manage to get really ripe ones they are nice.
