For this community Gen is defined as the following: stories that do not focus on a romantic pairing nor contain scenes of graphic sex. Acknowledgement of canon pairings is permitted as long as it is not the focus of the story.
For example: A mention of Arthur and Gwen kissing or having dinner together would be permitted. Arthur and Gwen going off to have sex, not permitted.
A story that happens to mention Merlin having been in love with Freya, permitted. A story about Merlin and Freya being in love, not permitted.
The Rules
Each month will begin with a new round, starting with an introduction post that will include a reminder to read the rules if you are new to the comm and will contain the posting format.
Readers, comment to the post with a request using the following format.

Writers, pick a prompt and answer it. You can either answer by replying to the prompt directly with a story or write a story to post elsewhere and reply with a link. Links to stories that were already written before the prompt do not count as a fill. Whether you link or reply directly please make sure to include the title and rating in the header, as well as warn for anything you feel you may need to warn for (ex. attempted rape, explicit torture, etc.)
There is no limit to how many times a prompt can be answered. There is also no limit to how many requests you can make while that round is open. Once a round is closed, no more prompts can be made to that round. Rounds only close to prompts, however. They will never close to answering prompts.
You do not have to answer a prompt in order to leave a prompt. Answering prompts is voluntary, as is leaving a prompt.

Slash/het focused stories. This includes pre-slash, pre-het and slash/het subtext.
Real people fiction
Characters bashing. It's okay to say if you don't want a particular person included in a story but there is no reason to go into why you don't want them included. For example: Please no so-and-so because I don't like them or please no so-and-so because they suck. Please have respect for all the characters when making your request.

Stories written in script format
Any requests or stories that include the above will be deleted.
