Flashback ~ Halloween 2012 ~ Wolfie "When witches go riding, and black cats are seen, the moon laughs and whispers, ‘tis near Halloween." ~ Author Unknown    Just scaring up a little pre-Howl-o-ween fun with Wolfie! Can you believe it is almost Halloween? 2020 sure has served up different times for us, but one thing is for sure, our memories will never change.  Time flies, as if on a witch's broom...looking back on our Flashback Fridays, I'm always amazed at the years that have gone by...yet the memories are so clear, as if they were just a few years ago. This photo was taken eight years ago! No trick! Pupster Wolfie was just four here, as were his sisters Bandit, and furangel Chloe. I laid the black cat toy down on his bed, and this was his natural reaction, along with his Wolfie whine! Enjoy those moments.  Take a lot of photos and videos.  One day, those photos and videos will be precious memories you can take out and relive all over again, keeping your dog...

Gibson has a purple pumpkin this Halloween! Pretty cool, right? Do you know he has a purple one and not an orange one? Harley has a hint: Purple is the color of...? Epilepsy Awareness. The Purple Pumpkin Project® was founded by founder Ron Lamontagne, whose son was diagnosed with Epilepsy when he was just four. Ron was brainstorming ideas on how to spread awareness about Epilepsy and was inspired by a local pumpkin patch! He thought that while kids and families were carving pumpkins, they could also paint/decorate/make a purple pumpkin that would then prompt folks to ask the question "Why is your pumpkin purple?" to which the replies would be information on Epilepsy - human and canine.  As many of  you know, the cause is near and dear to my heart as one of my Siberian Huskies, Gibson, is an Epi-dog (canine epileptic) and was diagnosed with idiopathic Canine Epilepsy in 2009, shortly after his third birthday. It was a very scary time and I felt very alone. Ever ...

Booooohaaaaaaaaahaaaaawoo! We're in frightfully good spirits and are flashing back three years to 2012 when our Bandit girl was trying to spook us by lying in wait in the glow of the jack o'lanterns! We're also highlighting our Howl-o-ween Pets on Parade video from that same year featuring so many of our fabulous furfriends. Some are now celebrating at the Rainbow Bridge, and they sure are missed, our own  Smokie included, but the wonderful thing about Flashback Fridays are these fond strolls down Memory Lane where we can remember those precious times spent together.
