[Well, he's gotta admit, this was definitely the worst timing ever for a triumphant, widely celebrated return to the Academy. At the very least, he was able to spend the time with Mulan. He'd missed her even more than he expected he would, so being back in a room with her was almost like coming home for a second time.
But every home can get cramped when you're stuck there all day.
So, taking up the camera he still kept with him from the photography class, he heads out into the non-Mist-ified day to get some snapshots of whatever catches his eye.]

[The video started and showed...a chair sitting in the middle of the frame. After several silent seconds, there was a burst of music and confetti and a rather familiar face jumped into view, landing in the chair and flashing a wide grin.]
Helloooo, hello again! Students, faculty, and...all you other people who aren't quite as important, I have returned! But please, please hold your celebrating. I know you must be thrilled, but I have had quite the little trip and would much prefer to get some rest.
So, all celebrations in my honor are to be rescheduled for tomorrow, shortly before lunch, feasting is strongly encouraged and do try to RSVP. Thank you!

[Well, one Emperor is keeping himself busy. He's signed up for the stupidest, hardest-sounding class he's heard about here, and he's really not sure if he's doing it to prove a point or to mess with the teacher. He's also, of course - and much more importantly, in Kuzco's opinion - got the party to plan and all.
But for the moment he's just a tad distracted with his new film camera. In fact, today, he is all over the campus, looking for people or things to take pictures of. It's a little tricky since there's isn't too terribly much that he thinks will make a better subject than himself. But there's gotta be something worth taking a picture of, right?

[Not that this Christmas thing wasn't fun - Kuzco could get into that getting gifts thing. It was totally for him - he just wasn't in the mood.
If you go outside you'll find your resident emperor of awesome sulking outside in the freshly fallen snow bundled up in a poncho and a few jackets and such. In fact, he's doing a good imitation of a pouting marshmallow.
Despite the hilarity of the image, he really is down in the dumps. And he decided to make it worse by sitting under that one tree on the bench.

[So Kuzco has understandably been very wary about entering his room since the strangeling incident with Mulan. In fact, he's been a total spaz about entering ANY room for that matter. So you've probably seen Kuzco creeping around, peering around corners in between classes and perpetrating useless ploys to keep himself safe (including throwing stuffed llamas into rooms before he enters, just in case there's one of THOSE things waiting to send him on more creepy quests.)
It would probably be far, FAR too easy to get the jump on him (even on the communicator) as he's peering into classrooms and sneaking around, wouldn't it?] | |

[So here Kuzco is again at the charred kitchen, the scene of the crime. There's no reason to be here, and there's no one to talk to, but he DOES seem to have company.
It's the snapped broom, completely extraordinary except for the fact that a black rag has been placed over the broken end of the handle by some other person. It's leaning against the wall perpetually. The mere sight of it seems to offend the emperor. So he strides right up to it and sticks an accusing finger in what should be its face.]
Hey. You decided to be mopey and all serious, not me.
[The broom lays there, unimpressed.]
What, it's not like it's MY fault!
[Staring judgmentally.]

[It's a normal day at the library except for the presence of what looks to be a new student. It's a rabbit, wonky yellow ears and all, sitting at the library table. ]
[Behind it is a giant pile of heavy reference books on the floor, like someone's kicked the nearby shelf and let everything fall.]
[At the table, the rabbit fiddles with the pages of a book in front of it, but finds it can't grip the page. It gets steadily more frustrated trying to get a single page to turn, when he gets the brilliant idea of carefully lifting one side of the book and letting it slide to the next page.... and it almost works! ]
[The rabbit's kicking its feet in excitement and laughing - The page is almost over! ... But instead, a whole mass of pages flops over at once, foiling his attempt to turn just one page.]
[And in a despairing, whining voice,] "Why do books have to have soo many woorrrrrdddsss...."
[The rabbit then proceeds to bang his head against the table, though the only noise it produces are squeaking noises from his nose hitting the surface.] | |
