LJ's First, Best, and Only John Oliver Community

The Rules

1. If you'd like to flail about something from a recent episode [aired within the past week], please put it behind a cut. Spoiling people = not cool.

2. Stay on topic. General TDS news does not belong here, as there is already a top-notch TDS community on LJ.

3. No fanfiction or fanart. There are other places for that.

4. Icon posts and images are ALLOWED. Especially if you've managed to scrounge up some pictures that I haven't seen or can make screencaps.

5. Illegal downloading = don't ask.

6. Be nice to your fellow members. I should think that would be self-explanatory.

7. Any John-hating is unacceptable. If you join this community just to say how unfunny you think he is or to proclaim how much better the old correspondents were, I will ban you.

8. Before you post a link/image/some cool thing you found, check my welcome post [in the links below]. Chances are, it might already be there.

John in Entertainment Weekly AND Vanity Fair

Community

If you act quickly (and live in the States), and have a Facebook account, you can watch the Pilot episode of Community after "becoming a fan."

John is adorable. The show is enjoyable.

Now REALLY look at this GQ motherfucker.

The results of John's GQ shoot are now up on GQ's site. He's one of "six up-and-coming comedians" who "show why an airy wool suit is perfect all year round." Ooh la la! (There's a good little interview on the site worth checking out. He's not a Glenn Beck fan, surprisingly.) For those wondering, his hair's a little Colbert-esque.

Now, what I really want to know is if he got to keep the watch or not. That thing is probably worth a chunk of change.

Look at this GQ motherfucker.

As of right now, Mr. Oliver is 3rd in the Huffington Post's Sexiest Comedian poll, behind only Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. He is currently outranking Russel Brand by a wide margin (he's 9th), but we don't want to chance it so you should all go vote for him.
