Green Bay Packers Community Events

In 1999, Hometown Huddle began as a national NFL Super Tuesday, a special day on which NFL players and coaches from each of the 32 teams participate in various community-service activities.  Even though the NFL no longer runs the program nationally, the Packers continue to budget for and use NFL grant dollars to support a Hometown Huddle community build or project annually.  While typically a playground build, other projects have included an ice-skating rink, landscaping, and nonprofit technology updates.

The annual Packers Give Back Game honors a Wisconsin nonprofit by highlighting their work and amplifying their message before and during a preseason home game. 1,000 guests from the nonprofit receive a free bus ride to the game, a food and beverage gift card, and tickets to a designated area in the stadium.

Project Play 60, an event held in February in the Lambeau Field Atrium, is designed to get children and families active during the Wisconsin winter. Kids enjoy the fun of inflatables, climbing walls, face painting and obstacle courses.

Empower - This Green Bay Packers leadership event is held at the Resch Expo Center and Lambeau Field for over 750 Wisconsin middle school students. The all-day event features speakers geared at encouraging and inspiring the students to develop mental strength and leadership skills to create positive impacts in their schools and communities.

Each October, the Lambeau Field Atrium is transformed into a hauntingly happy Halloween playground. The Spooktacular event features interactive entertainment, music, Halloween-themed crafts and activities.

For the past 14 years, the Packers and Festival Foods have brought the joy of the holidays to all who attend this annual event. Free family-friendly activities include holiday movies and cartoons, card making, music performed by local high school choirs, cookie decorating, photo opportunities with Santa Claus and the tree lighting. Fans also donate toys for Toys for Tots at the event.
