I play metal guitar. i haved played along time. I tried to join some bands once, and they wouldnt let me because i was too metal. So i started my own bands.

My friend and I are in DESPERATE need of at least one guitarist to start a jrock-inspired visual band (that doesn't sound like nu-metal) in the Philly area. We're kind of sticklers when it comes to the "look", if you know about visual kei, you know what we mean (wanting a gazette/phantasmagoria/vidoll look). I've tried flyers at school and neither of us know any guitar players (shockingly enough(. If anyone is interested, PLEASE contact me ASAP. thanx

Hi Guys!
I hope it's okay that i'm posting this hear, but since this is a music community, I thought some of you might be interested! I don't play guitar, but the Listen of the Week thing soundd cool so...I jsut thought I'd post in case any of you were intersted in the PerfectPitch thing.

hey im Puttu and ive been playing guitar for around 4 years or so. i have a bc rich wartribe which is immense and i also have a yamaha pacifica, i really want an SG though. i have 3 bands: fall in line, dead cell and the new violence-i play lead guitar in all 3. we play a lot of our own stuff with the occasional metallica, trivium, napalm death or nevermore cover. i love playing trivium, metallica, sikth and slayer solo's-kirk hammett and kerry king are gods! right now im attempting the prince by metallica which is an awesome song. i have pretty cool pedals-i recently bought a digitech signature series pedal-the weapon which is pretty cool, i have a dunlop crybaby and an ibanez flanger although im looking to get a multi fx box (disregarding the fact that im completely and utterly broke)
so yeah thats basically it i think...

Am I the only person in this group that dosent play bass?
Well here I am I'm John G from Florida. I've been playing 1.5 years, and can play pretty well. My best covered solo is Crazy Train. I play thrash, metal, and I dabble in classical, and blues.....but.....this is metal guitar, so I listen to alot of Bodom and Shadows Fall. I cant really play the solos from cob or sf but the rythms are kick ace.
I tune to E because I can.

Hello, my name is Chap. I've been playing bass for 4 years, and am still not very good. Haha. I first picked up a bass because my buddy played guitar and I wanted to play an instrument like him, so I went for the bass because I have fairly big hands/fingers. I've also been playing guitar since christmas of this year. I am the owner of the warlock in the entry below me,and I have a Yamaha acoustic guitar. My main influences are Gwar, Iron Maiden, and various black/death metal bands. This community looks pretty promising.

hey my name is harold. i have been playing guitar for about a year and i dabble in bass while at my friends house. my guitar is a peavey raptor and the bass is a warlock (the bass is bad ass). i got my guitar for my birthday last year at a pawn shop. when i got it, it was missing a few things (volume knob, one of its pick ups, ect.). after i fixed it up, it played beautifully. i am mostly self taught, and i would say i am pretty good for only playing for a year. the first metal song i learned was an old man's child song, my kingdom will come. i have many influences but i would say my major ones are old man's child, necrophagist, a bunch of old blues artists, ulver, and system of a down.
