xcerptedMmmm~ rainy days are the best!! Well, only when you're safe and warm at home of course.^_^ Getting home last night was a total nightmare. I got so tired that when I took a 'short nap' before lunch today, I ended up sleeping 3 hours longer than intended! I woke up at 4:30PM, LOL. And I've spent the last four hours just listening and watching to SHINee♥ in youtube. I'm in love with Minho!!♥♥♥ But more on that some other day~.
Aaah~ I feel so good. A little TMI here, but I've got some serious PMS issues. Last week was just, AUGH, awful. I was irritable all around, acted like a brat to a few folks (my online friends are so patient with me, ah~.;_;) and, you know, had bad thoughts.=/ But I pulled through just fine, so don't worry!
That's why I haven't been able to blog about my 5-day Hong Kong trip though. Well, that and my laptop won't read my SD card properly.=/ But I've found my USB card reader and here are some (admittedly awful) pics~.
I took this trip with ManikaManila members, friends from our local BJD community. To this day I'm still amazed by how quickly my Mom had agreed to let me go, especially since the main purpose of our trip was doll shopping at a doll convention. But I'm so happy that she did.>w< It was my first time out of the country, and my first time to ride an airplane!\o/ The change in pressure made my ears hurt so badly though.DX
We took a night flight and didn't do much but settle into our apartment after arriving in Hong Kong. Our apartment was really cozy...but only had one bathroom. The last one to use it usually ended up staying awake until 4am, lol. Because I'm used to taking my shower in the morning, I slept 'early' and woke up ahead of everyone in the ungodly hour of 7am.xD;
We spent our first day in Disneyland~!♥
I looooove Disneyland! I have more pics of it than the doll convention itself, lol! The sets are just so amazing, especially in that...uh...river tour thing at Adventureland. I've forgotten the ride's name but it's my second favorite next to Space Mountain.♥
The Princesses reminded me of Barbie. IDK.
I didn't really enjoy the fireworks as much as I would have though--taking that last pic up there got me separated from my group.;_; When I finally found them, they were all surprised I was crying (out of relief). Everyone was so tired no one had realized I was missing at all, lol! In hindsight I'm kind of glad I didn't worry them, though at that time I'd been really scared (I practically hugged the lamppost where I'd last seen them in hopes they'd spot me).
Saturday and Sunday were Dollism Plus 7 days~!♥ I was...actually quite disappointed? A friend who went two years ago warned me that very little would fit my boys, but I didn't it to be that bad. There were maybe three shops that sold clothes in my boys' size and gender."orz While my friends hunted for bargains, I just plain-hunted for stuff. It was so frustrating. Even worse, one of the shops I bought from on the first day went half-price on the second!DX
But seeing so many dolls and people carrying dolls was a really fun experience~. I'm sure to go again...someday. When I've gotten Trish home and/or a larger doll. Going with just my boys is a total waste.=_=;
Speaking of Trish, I got her a cute, pink alpaca! We spent our last day in Hong Kong sleeping in and then walking around. I had all the intention of buying gifts for my family and officemates...but this little thing was all I got."orz
She's so cute though. I'm thinking Trish will really like her.x3 And after going out to see the Avenue of Stars--which super sucked (my friend said it might be because it was a Monday show)--, I managed to get some keychains and a few tourist shirts in Mongkok's night market. My companions said I could buy the rest at the airport...but we were really pressed for time so I didn't get to do any shopping there at all. I think my PMS must have started then 'cause I actually started crying out of frustration at the check-in counter.=(
But damn if the flight home wasn't fun. Clouds are so pretty.>w< I especially like it when they look like sea bubbles...or ice-islands. We were that high up and so were my spirits and Joshua's~.♥
Ah~ Manila is so dirty.=_= But we got home safe and that's what's important of course. End report!^_^ But you can see more pics from our trip here~.
