3 months ago, Austin told me that he wanted a break from adventures. I didn't know why at the time but it turns out it was because someone had made fun of him for being into trains. This broke me tbh 💔 but after lots of deep chats, he's over it & going to ignore them. So.... 1/2

I know I said earlier that we'd had our last ride, but look what's just turned up to take us back to Plymouth after dinner 😄 time for one last encore and this really is the last one! A very nice surprise indeed!

We're on the way home now but not before one last treat. Today, we're swapping the meal deal lunch for the real deal lunch and finally visiting @CentenaryLounge at Taunton. Lovely decor and the best tomato soup ever, all while watching the trains come and go. Bliss 😊

Little one wanted to try and find George one last time. Our hearts sank as we heard he was out and about. Thought we'd have a quick look in the car park and look who was there 😁 day made for both of us and I can confirm he is just as magnificent in real life @TheStourbridge

One very chuffed little boy 😁 we missed @TheStourbridge on our last visit but I'm pleased to report that we caught up with George & he was on fine form. He was happy to demonstrate how he consumes his treats and inspected Austins friend stripey 😁 day made for both of us!!

As good as the journey from Plymouth was, we decided to break at St Austell to watch our train depart. Time for a quick hot chocolate before we carry on the Penzance on yet another of these fine machines 😁

We're beginning our journey back to base and thought we'd have a look at the loco before setting off. What a result to be invited to have a look in the cab 🤩 today has been the absolute best and we can't thank UK Railtours enough. More updates to follow later!

There are trams, and there are TRAMS!!! We're enjoying our ride on the pair of 1930s bubble trams here in Blackpool. Just look at them 😍
