    Reprehensible SCOTUS decision on gerrymandering is mostly a disaster for democracy. It's also a perfect example of how analog law assuming friction, inefficiency, imprecision can't handle #algorithmic governance - today's partisan gerrymandering.

    Allegheny County is trying to do #algorithms right. Thread 👇for audit results 1. It hired academics, not commercial vendor to create risk assessment tool to screen child mistreatment calls (#AFST) 2. It allowed researchers into black box r/t allowing opacity by trade secret
