My husband’s surgery, on Monday, went well…. it was just over a 3 hour surgery… he’s recovering very well. I hope they let him come home, soon. Maybe tomorrow? It’s been an exhausting week.

Hubby’s is going in for surgery Monday. He’ll be having his sigmoid colon removed (8-10 inches I think). Prayers greatly appreciated, still. Thanks, in advance.
Garbage, interesting theme… I can classify a lot as garbage but don’t have photos of it (which isn’t really a bad thing LOL).
If something doesn’t make it out to the garbage quickly… it may get taken over by Nixie, my cat.

My son recently had the opportunity to read and review a book about our new president. MotherTalk sent him the Obama: The Historic Journey book. My opinion is that it’s beautifully done, wonderful images, and some great “didn’t already know” information about President Obama. I thought this would be a good read for my son.
His review:
I really liked Obama: The Historic Journey because it tells about President Obama and his life, past and present and it is geared toward young readers. I found it interesting that he likes basketball and sportscenter, just like me. I learned more about our Presidents life by reading this book than I have learned about our past Presidents. This book covered from beginning to now. He seems to have had a pretty fascinating life. It makes him seem like a real person, to me, just just a man of history. The photography is great! I’d recommend reading this book to anyone who is willing to learn more about our President. I’m glad to have this cultural document to reflect back on in years to come.
Pick up your copy at Amazon.
This review was extremely delayed. With my son having surgery, then my husband being hospitalized. Life has indeed been hectic, However, I had to fill my obligation – even if late. My public apology to MotherTalk for my tardy review.
