Another sports post
Anyone else excited about the football team? 3-0 and taking on I-AA Richmond today! Almost enough to make me wish i still lived there.

And can anyone point me to a decent VU icon? I should at least crop this one so it doesn't look so tacky.

Heh, if you looked at my scant participation in this community over the past year, you'd think i only care about sports. In fact this is my sports-themed LJ that i always forget to use, so you could be forgiven for thinking that. (I actually enjoy "artsy" people more than "jock" types, to pigeon-hole the world by high-school cliques. But VU is different, because our sports programs are such a counterpoint to what sports has become in Western society nowadays.)

Hello. I just wanted to post that there is a general Vanderbilt community if anyone is interested. It was just created in January and is growing healthier by the day. To have alumni as part of the community would be wonderful. Please join if you can. Thanks!

Interests
We need to add to those interests a bit...

No Fair McGill being on the list without McTyeire, since two of us, after all, did live there, and Tolman needs to go on the list as well.

We need to have interests that help people find the community too, so "Vanderbilt", "Vanderbilt University", "Nashville", "SEC", "Fugitive Writers", erm... you know, stuff like that. I'm sure there are more Vandy alumni out there in LJ land somewhere...

More suggested interests: gordon gee, mctyeire, tolman, cole, kissam, branscomb, harvard of the south, stupid administrations, southeastern conference, hating UT, papa john's, nashville, vanderbilt, vanderbilt university, vanderbilt alumni, munchie marts, basketball... What am I leaving out?

I'd love to write a little blurb for the community if everyone's cool with that.
